Thanks to many people, here is the revisited/shortened SDA Runs Without A Published TAS (edit: formerly SDATASes). Any informations and advices regarding game choices and their "information column" entry are welcome, the primary goal of this list is to provide good game choices and ideas about TASing various goals that already published on SDA. edit2: I have plans in updating the page with the speedrun.com API, stay tuned. More details here: Post #479860

Well, if you already have that script, why not? It's better than nothing.

I'm currently try to compare SDA runs' game title with TASes' game title with regexp to be able to delete entries that already has TASes. But I really don't know that does it worth the time to make it.

I'm curious to see this list. Granted, SDA doesn't tend to care about game quality, and any game (short of "you have to cut the rope") is allowed to have a speedrun, as long as it is well played (i.e. obviously planned and practiced.) For example, Legendary Axe for the Turbografx was decided it would make a poor TAS, but recently, a speedrun was published.

Your call. Such a list would definitely be useful to an extent (to update/revise Wiki: ListOfIdeas, for one), and "obviously not a good choice" entries could be pruned manually afterwards.

Before anyone misunderstood my goals: you can watch the full list of SDA runs, but you can't simply compare it with TASvideos runs. I think it would be much easier if I would ask a userpage here at tasvideos to easily dump the list of TASes.

Why not? You can find a list of all TASes over here, and doing the same thing Ilari did in this thread on both lists should work quite well. Any anomalies can be sorted out manually. Edit: Why is the last link underlined whereas the first isn't?

One of the most serious problem with SDA's listing is that they only show 1 run-time for a game. Let's say they have 5 runs for a game, then they only list that game once. This can't be helped... So now I made a script that converts the entries from here to TASVideos Wiki friendly format, so I will upload it when I get my user page. After this I will have to do things manually, like handling "multiple platforms" in the entries, providing additional informations about speedrun goal and completion time. And after this I think I should get contact with someone access to the ListOfIdeas. edit: for now, I will try to only compare "main speedruns" from the link you mentioned ("MoviesList/ALL.html"). It would be very time consuming or even impossible to compare "various goals" like "103%" and other...

Okay, so here's the deal. adelikat gave me a userpage so I uploaded the list there. As I earlier said, games on SDA has multiple runs, but they only show one "final time", so I manually compare them. This can't be automatized unfortunately (because of how SDA's webpage works). Once I'm done, I will contact with one of the editors of ListOfIdeas. Nuff said, I'm glad that I contribute something!

Nice list, I made some notes. GBA: Zelda Minish Cap is being worked on by Tompa but the game is a little bitchy so it takes a long time to do. Aria of Sorrow kinda has a newgame+ (100% souls run, ng+ is used to access hard mode.) NES: Back to The Future has been deemed a bad game choice Who Framed Roger Rabbit is probably a bad game choice N64: A few of those games are not emulated correctly... Can't recall exactly which ones. PSX: Some games are not emulated correctly... Like Crash Bandicoot 3, SMS: Zillion has been deemed a bad game choice unless new glitches which makes the game more entertaining are found.

Thank you for the informations. I'm updating informations of the entries with the results of the Search.html with subs=1 and forum=1. I will post here once I'm done with revising the list. edit: I would need informations mostly on entries with "NOT SURE" information.

I can't believe Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures has a speed run. I tried it in search for a SNES Pac-Man game I remember from a while back, and I had trouble believing something like this even existed. I mean, for all I know, it might make for an entertaining TAS if something was exploited, but I doubt it.
All the best, Brandon Evans

I'm finally sorted out the DS, GBA, GBC, GB, Genesis, N64, NES, PSX, Saturn, SegaCD, SMS and SNES entries with the help of others! Next time I process the remaining platforms that also listed on Wiki: ListOfIdeas (GC, Wii, PS2, maybe DOS).

Small note: I'm only doing any% in Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland. And as far as I know, WaddleDX' Kirby's Dream Land 3 TAS is only any% as well. Just saying since the SDA runs you listed for those games have 100% labels.

The goals only represented because there's no other run on SDA on that game or there's a TAS that's missing at that game. I will write something useful in the reminders to make things clear. But now I'm offline mostly for a day.

Just bumping in to say that there is a discussion thread for NES Castlequest here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3052

Castlequest thread added, I also processed the Gamecube entries. edit: I'm also thinking about leaving this list without merging it to the Wiki: ListOfIdeas page to make it simplier to update it when new SDA runs published (maybe a wiki page with a descriptive title for example "ListOfIdeas/SDA)". Any comments on this?

I moved it to its own page, for greatness. http://tasvideos.org/SDATASes.html Also, promoted Meshuggah to editor, so he can edit the page freely. Personally, I think bad game choices should have been left in with either rejected submissions or text that says bad game choice. SDATASes was all I could think of. If someone can think of a better title, let me know. Meshuggah, please link to that in your first post. Also, Arc the Lad has a forum thread ;)

I updated Wiki: SDATASes (little bit more information) and my first post. Thank you for your work DarkKobold. The title should be changed something more descriptive, but I don't have any good idea right now. Also it has a weird space in it :) And I also failed to correct my grammar (that Warp already corrected and I reedited it in the wrong way).

I spot an old (last post at 2005-08-22) TASVideos Hyperzone thread. Figured you'd want to be aware of it. As a personal project, I was trying a 100% kills run. I am not far into it and it is not high priority in my list of things to do.
