Greetings my fellow internet user brethren. It seems that I have surpassed the previous publication by 13 frames (00:00.22 seconds). I do encourage you to enjoy this marvelous accomplishment with me good sir.

About the Run

Most of the improvement came from optimizing the pause trick. However, 99th & Final Zone have some slight improvements. There is more detail in the fm2 file. (Note: The subtitles are a little glitchy due to the resolution. If there is anything I can do, please tell me.)

Takes me back when I joined the crew as an encoder. I think my 2nd HD encode was on this game, and Sonikkustar even saw me encoding this. I'm encoding this. Also, there are commentary subtitles in the FM2 file, so I'm also making an SRT file for subtitles out of this. It will be joined in my encodes.

Got it,will watch after test. Edit:Oh,it's short and I have watched it. 1 frame saved trick for each time, and better bomb throwing. This means the previous one looks unimprovable. And this trick is great. Yes.
Do the work.

Spiffy improvements and nice subtitles! The use of controller 2 to save a frame with the pause trick is clever. Yes vote.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:

Voting yes for the cool glitching. Who would've ever expected shooting a fireball at yourself would result in warping levels?

Heh, I remember back in the days when I TASed this game. I'm starting to feel old... As for the run, nice improvement indeed, here's my yes vote.

Some year ago, I watched a japanese show(gccx) about how hard was this game(such as level 10) and since then, I've been wondering how entertaining it would be if someone would attempt a 100% run with all the aera visited at least once. I guess the awkward route/warping planning could be interesting... but I'm somewhat unsure if you can keep the invicibility item when you trigguer a self-bombing warp.

Deathwarping is NOT a glitch. yes the game design is really is that screwed up. This is the fastest intended route through the game, believe it or not. It's just performed better than most people can.
