You are around 500 revisions late: http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=7669 Start by getting dolphin 3.0.

I remember sgrunt saying that he sometimes needed to delay the audio a second for some records. But yes, that is a bug we know about. It should be easy to manually fix.

If 3.0 doesn't fit for you, as it may desynch as well, I suggest r7323. This revision is what worked best for me as far as it goes. For the audio desynch, you can't do anything about it, but adjust it manually. The audio takes in consideration the lag frames happening during any loading in the game, while your video doesn't show you those loading frames. Therefore, they are bound to desynch after a loading.

If memory serves, the delay these days is consistently 0.25 seconds. It's easy enough to manually account for.

I'm using avisynth to correct the audio. It desyncs due to frames taking longer than 0.016 seconds, when the game loads something.

When I record part of a GameCube TAS, the audio seems to go at normal speed, but the video appears to be sped up by 150%. I usually edit the video afterward and slow it down to 66% [~2/3] speed, and it syncs with the audio and looks normal. It happens on both games I've dumped frames from. This Paper Mario: TTYD video was recorded in an area with no lag and then slowed down to 66% speed, and it looks like normal speed. Any reason why Dolphin records such fast movies?

I think it's because Paper Mario 2 (and Luigi's Mansion, too) appear to be 30 FPS games. Dolphin doesn't adjust the frame rate accordingly.

That makes sense. So if I tried encoding a game like F-Zero GX (supposedly a 60 FPS game), it would dump at the correct speed? EDIT: After reading this over again a few months later, I see that I was mixed up. Paper Mario: TTYD is a 60 FPS game, and I've heard Super Mario Sunshine runs at 30 FPS.

There's a hack for this, though it may be already implemented in the main branch of Dolphin.
