Improvement

The last boss,I have a great miss in the previous run that I ignored the small robot can drop items just like C H L Bomb..
When L hits the boss, the other items and pistal cannot hit it. So I must throw bombs when L stopped
The bomb can only hit the first 2 bosses and Metal "See you in the hell" 50 HP. But it can hit the last boss 100 damage.However,the fire would not change.
So manipulate luck to get 1 L and 3 bombs to hit the last boss.
This saved about 1 minute.
Have fun.I will continue MS5.

Nach: Now the final boss doesn't seem like a long bore (other than the avoidance part). Nice improvement. Accepting.

I can't even get the game to sync beyond the first screen lock.

Suggested Screenshot: The 1st one showes the the boss's MAX damage and attack style. This second showes the luck manipulation of 1L and 3 bombs.

X2poet: Did you have any special settings enabled in the emulator? I get a desynch while fighting the helicopters in level 5.

It's a very straightforward improvement of an existing published movie -- all that changed was the final boss fight, which is markedly faster. Discussion isn't really needed in this case. Also, Metal Slug games tend to be popular, which means that people are more willing to do the work involved in pushing a movie through the publication process. I'm actually surprised this was on the workbench as long as it was.

Are you sure that's not just due to Metal Slug characteristically having delayed sound effects when a lot's going on? I noticed there's a lot of "bullet hit" effects that play after one of the boss phases, but frankly that's just a fact of the engine, not a problem with the encode.
