It's an effect described as Write What You Know. If most of the people writing it are bronies, then the part that gets the most attention is about bronies. For another example, see the Jack Thompson article, and notice how the video game section is the most expansive, and the whole article is drenched in thinly veiled, neutral sounding insults.

I don't see anything wrong in dedicating space for the thing that a person is most well known and famous for. If you are reading the article about, let's say, Isaac Newton, would you be more interested in knowing what he accomplished as a physicist, or what he ate for breakfast on february 5th?

What I find hilarious is that certain episodes seem to be worthy of their own page. LOL

Why is that hilarious? It's pretty commonplace with popular TV series. (For example, Lost has a separate page for every single episode of the entire series.)

Such is the way of the nerds. I find there is a fairly simple answer to the situation, one which can be summed up with three words: seriosuly who cares

Maybe we'd be interested in his eating habits if he became famous for his work on nutrition instead of his advances in mathematics and physics. As such, what's wrong with a children's show known for having a large adult male audience being described on such terms in the wikipedia article? And why am I participating in this nonsense?

They look alot like cat girls than pony girls but whatever. What did the Wikipedia said about the story again?
A companion series, Equestria Girls, is set to premiere in the second quarter of 2013, where the main characters from the show will be re-envisioned as humanized characters attending school.
You know, this is great and all, but why do I have this feeling that Twilight will be like 1 late assignment-enduced panic attack from shooting her school? 0_o

WTF? Why? They look ridiculous. If they want to humanize them, then humanize them. Don't make them some chimera freaks... sheesh.

I've tried to stay neutral about Equestria Girls, but it becomes a little harder for every new thing we learn about it.

They should give them mustaches and armpit hairs. Humanization ftw

I'm less bothered by the ears and more bothered by how damn skinny they are. LET'S CONTINUE TO GIVE LITTLE GIRLS UNREALISTIC IDEAS ON APPEARANCE. Shit like this is awful. I believe it leads to higher amounts of anorexia and bulemia in women, which neither is healthy at all. Whatever happened to beautiful women who WEREN'T a size 0 (or in the case of the EG, -15)?

I don't think any teenage girl would have them for very long... (unless they are some kind of naturalist hippie new age fanatics or something.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obesity#History Maybe eventually, the preferred size would stabilize and settle down to something realistic (and healthy), but we'll all probably be dead by then.

Just when I thought I read basically every type of "X is a changling" fic, I found this....strange "tragic" fic. This is almost as ridiculous as the original version of this story's climax where it was revealed that the changling drone was infact a changling queen! In other words, the changling was a changling. >.>

I still oppose the claim because "jumping the shark" means, approximately, "the moment when a series took a permanent dive into mediocrity or worse". You can't make that assessment until at least a half dozen or so new episodes are produced. A single bad episode doesn't cut it.

At least they have normal ears. But it still feels like a stupid idea, even after watching that. (Actually, especially after watching that.)
