Comments

<All I did this for was because TASing looked like fun. It's harder work than it seems. This was really hard to do, but I progressed and enjoyed making this. It took me a fair few tries to beat the record. After completing each TAS I think this is around my 8th attempt.>

FractalFusion: Just for clarification, since it is not obvious from any part of the submission text. This run uses the E version of the game, which happens to be slightly faster than the U version which we have published here. This run is also slower than another E version TAS. That is why the submission is cancelled.

So maybe you could analyze both runs and see if you improved over something from mugg's run.

Props to the TASer for actually beating the published movie, unlike last time and countless other cases. Too bad it's on the wrong version though, and that the PAL version has a faster submission still.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

If "young" and "1997" in your name are any indication of your age, I'm not sure where that condescending tone is coming from. :P

That's kind of a harsh comment for a still impressive submission, don't you think?

There's no need to be rude to the author. He or she put a lot of hard work into this submission, and it actually beats the published movie. It just doesn't beat a submission that the author probably had any way of knowing existed. You shouldn't assume the author is a child, anyway; it's possible he or she just doesn't speak English well. You had to learn to TAS and optimize and learn the rules too, so give this person time to do the same.

To be honest it is my opinion that there be sepparate branches (pal, ntsc).

In this case, I don't think it would make sense, since the fastest times on PAL and NTSC are less than a second apart.

even then, MUGG's PAL version is better Well, at least you put effort into it. Try harder and you can do it =) Also, trying to beat less optimized movies should be easier.
My first language is not English, so please excuse myself if I write something wrong. I'll do my best do write as cleary as I can, so cope with me here =) (ノಥ益ಥ)ノ

Yeah, and we also have some older movies you can improve, as well as a List of Ideas that gives suggestions of games you can run.

Sage advice from a friend of Jim: So put your tinfoil hat back in the closet, open your eyes to the truth, and realize that the government is in fact causing austismal cancer with it's 9/11 fluoride vaccinations of your water supply.
