I have something difficult just now. It seems that the newest dolphin can playback dtm successfully. So I used 3.5-170 to record a new dtm. But it told me desync. And it ends when dtm playing starts. What should I do please.

Make sure you close dolphin and reopen it before trying to start recording, or playback.

As you said, it can playback successfully now. But there are still some problems. When I record, it's normal. But when playback, "Enable Progressive Scan" changes to on, and "DSP LLE recompiler" changes to "DSP HLE emulation" by itself. So my movie desyncs. How to avoid these problems?

Sounds like the header got messed up. See http://tasvideos.org/DTM.html for info to fix it.

Hi. In Dolphin 3.5 (the download link above 3; not the development branches), it seems that my Kirby Air Ride TAS of Grass won't sync because everytime I try to play it back, it shows the message "No Memory Card Inserted into Slot A" for some reason, even though it was inserted when I started TASing and playing back.

See the link in my previous post. Presumably the memory card flag is not set. I can't imagine why that would happen if it was connected when you started recording, but hex editing it should fix it. Also, don't use 3.5 if you don't have a specific reason to. The latest revision should be best.

Dolphin will ignore your settings and use whatever is specified in the header. If for some reason the header has the wrong settings saved, you need to edit it.

How to edit it? It seems that dolphin can't show dtm's information.

Could you please help me build a 3.0-382's(what can be downloaded from this page before) 32-bit a/v sync hack? I want to dump a video by myself but native dolphin can't dump a good one.

Mmm... It seems that 3.5-228 still desyncs. It's not due to emulation. It's due to DTM recording error. For example, I input on frame 3813. But when I playback, the DTM inputs on frame 3810. There are 3 frames lost. How to avoid this? Maybe, newer version doesn't have this bug. But I can't use them. Because my computer has some problems in running 64-bit version. And newer 32-bit version need OpenAL32.dll. OpenAL32.dll is win32's file. So this version is the final version for me.

I had a similar issue when using a different Dolphin build. I just hexed in 3 frames and it synced. I'm guessing that different builds start at different stops in the dtm file.

I use the same emulator to record and playback. But it desyncs due to this. Also, it playback successfully before that frame. But it desyncs after that frame. This error may happen when record input.

That definitely sounds like a desync to me. Input is polled more often than the screen is updated, so differences in lag could change the number of inputs relative to frames.

It should be as easy as connecting your GC controller to the computer (using a special adapter) and then configuring the buttons and joysticks to your controller as you would with any emulator.

I thought EURGB60 is also OK to be on now because it only affects PAL games so it shouldn't matter for NTSC and it should be on for PAL? Also now you don't need the copyrighted files because some are included but they aren't as good as real dump.

euRGB does have some affect on ntsc games i don't really know how it why, but i have observed it causing desyncs. You definitely need the copyrighted dsp dumps, do NOT use the ones that are included with dolphin.
