I've decided to start a forum on this game 'cause I'm having issues going on by myself without help and advice. (I want to get this game done 'cause I want to get back to Huge Adventure as I took a break from that due to getting annoyed by repetitive things going on, and also it being 100% run) I will repost in this forum with both Part 1 and 2 and the movie file. feel free to call out stuff ups or when this tas is done feel free to be the next tasser on this game.

The game looks funny and fast, but the controls seem a bit clumsy. I can't help you, but good luck with the project anyway!

I am so thanking for the boss part Engis2001 even though there was a tad of confusion on what he wrote I did manage to understand and being late I got through 5 levels... The Scary Part is I'm doing this 100% Blind as in I have NEVER finished or STARTED the Gameboy version before only the PS1 hmm.... Link to video

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1993427356/Emperor%27s%20New%20Groove.vbm First four levels. I'm currently ahead of your submission by 967 frames. I'm expecting a final time around 8.5-9 minutes or so.

so that explains why you wrote it like you're yelling. It doesn't take long to do the tas max of 8hrs so have fun

I've spent about 8 hours on it so far, and just finished level 6. This is probably why you did so bad :(

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/25138363549196501 144 frames faster than the published movie at the end of level 1. I did this on VBA, though my tests have shown that porting VBMs of this game to BizHawk is really easy, you just need to add/remove a couple blank frames during level transitions. Anybody interested? I don't know if I'll go all the way with it, because this game sucks.

If you have a look over here... I have been interested on the updating for quite some time. In fact, I'm actually further than where I am at right now, just haven't provided the files. Any comments about me being slower than Robyn. You can splice input there isn't any desync to anything in this game when switching input around.

Okay, don't want to impede. I'll show myself out, but good luck if you do decide to finish... this game is very clunky, so I don't think I would have fun TASing it for very long.

I really didn't want to do this... but I've dropped(?) it. Working on this alone, without getting feedback or trying to collaborate with someone else, just ended it for me. I do want to get back to this, I think I honestly screwed up. Link to video

Link to video I made a TAS of this game in the past few days that beats the published run by 2471 frames. It is still pretty improvable (I've started a v2 that finishes the first four levels 5 seconds faster) so I won't submit it, but it is much more optimized than RachelB's movie, so I figure it is worth posting for any fans of this game or the published TAS lurking about. Most of the time saved is just from tighter movement in every level. Though there are a few "route changes" to trigger some switches earlier, I forget exactly which levels are different in that regard. I also beat the jaguar boss a little faster by using the second rock to deal two hits of damage.

Jules, nice run! I never knew about this game until now. Movement seems good, despite the natural clumsiness of the game physics. I guess you would need more improvement before submiting. Some kind of wallclip or other physics abuse would be interesting and perhaps very useful if found.
