tasvideos.com has nothing to do with tasvideos.org. The website you are on is tasvideos.org.

Standard domain squatter site. They have slightly more style than most squatters, it looks like, but who cares. Just don't give them pageviews.

Hegyak's right; they all look like that now. But I wonder why that domain name even exists. Did someone buy it to use it for a scam?

More likely to sell it, and/or make money on ads from people trying to get here.

Yep. It’s quite usual in the internets… Someone takes domain name (for example for $10) to sell it for $100 or more.

I generally assume that any remotely popular site will have variants on its domain registered. It's not necessarily scamming; just people trying to pick up ad revenue from other people accidentally visiting the wrong URL. It'd only be a scam if they were trying to trick you into thinking that their site was the real site.

That's what I was thinking. I thought someone was trying to pass it off as the real site but was charging money for making an account, downloading the movie files, etc., but got caught and had to sell it. I think your explanation is more likely though.

Ubuntu.com is available even if you misspel the domain name as «ubunut.com» :)

Because they own the domain ubunut.com, and have a redirect setup. The same thing could be done for any site, but it costs money to register a million different domains, especially when someone already owns them.

In other words, would you rather have tasvideos.com "work", or would you rather have more reliable servers? You can't have both.
