Post subject: Why no TI-83 movies?

It has been made public that Bizhawk supports TI-83 emulation, but no submissions have been made in that platform. Is it because there are no entertaining games for TI-83, or because the emulation is sucky, like Genesis emulation for this emulator?
If I could have a tool-assisted real life, I'd... Being a novice, I'd probably load the wrong state, have the IRS AI bankrupt me, and eventually make me want to kill myself and redo 11 years of hard work.

The emulation is sucky Jay Jay. Go home now son, go and home and get some rest after a pretty hard day of trolling.

I'm actually working on a Dirty Harry NES project, and I have made it halfway through the first level. I'd post a WIP, but I need to get my laptop back to do it. For some reason, I can't find my laptop. I have since been posting from an iPad. So trolling is not at all something that I do. Don't comment on it here!

I don't think that there are any TAS worthy games on the TI-83.

1) TI-83 emulation is very good 2) The serial link cable isn't emulated, other than programming the game yourself there is no way to load a game. Thus it only emulates the calculator. The reason there are no TI-83 TASes is because it doesn't run any games. Now, if you want to TAS your math homework, that's certainly possible.

You could use the AsmComp command to type in the program, and go from there. This might be easy to automate using Lua and the file(s) of the program.

You can try to TAS programming a demo, I guess.

I know of someone who made a Snake game on a TI-83 (not sure what it looks like, though, and it doesn't look like the snake grows)!

I've written a game similar to Snafu on the Intellivision using TI-BASIC with 2 very basic AI players, one that makes all left turns and one that makes all right turns. It probably wouldn't be very entertaining to watch since a bulk of the TAS for it would be writing out the program.

I'm doing a test run of a game called Escape (which I have the source code of), but I don't know how to make the ROM file! Does anyone know how to make/run a TI-83 ROM file?

Well, how do you start TASing the calculator? It is the one thing I can't do on here! Also, what are the default controls? The TI-83 picture covers up most of the buttons and what they do.

You're trying to TAS a platform that can't even open the games.

I still want a movie of a TI-83 game! I just don't know how this emulator works with this platform.

The only emulator I have for TI-83 that works (with no rerecording or frame advance abilities, however) is the one here! Please help with Bizhawk TI-83 emulation! EDIT: Emulator link deleted.

Perhaps the ROM would be of the calculator?

And where do you propose we find it? By the way, this is not a ROM link request. I just want to know any recommended sites for finding the "calculator ROM".

I prefer Google, but that isn't the point!

You are asking things that are against the rules for people to answer, and treading dangerously close to ban territory, so I suggest you stop with this. To use TI-83 in BizHawk you open the ROM, same as you would for a game.

If you wanted the calculator roms so bad, why not just check the contents of .zip file you linked? Just so you know though, I would maybe remove your link. Edit: Also, none of the roms in the link you posted work with BizHawk.
