This run improves TehSeven's run by 7 frames.
The improvement comes from a new trick/minizip using diagonal strings, and by starting input after the reset earlier (thanks Masterjun).
Enjoy...again.

I'm failing to see how this has gotten any more entertaining a game than the first run. It absolutely should be accepted as an improvement, but it's still the same terrible game now as it was when the run was a few frames longer.

It's a lot more optimal now, and just the speed of it makes it more entertaining than the original submission.

That's why it's being published to the Vault. Game choice doesn't matter anymore. Voting No. Definitely publish as an improvement though.

Yes, that's my point. The votes for the first one were anything but overwhelmingly "Yes, this is an entertaining movie," but now they are. Over nothing but a few frames shaved off a 20 second run. Just pointing out a flaw in the new system.

Oh, I see. I think the problem is that people don't read the new question and notice that it's asking if the movie is entertaining or not, and not whether or not the movie should be published.

It goes more diagonal now. Yes vote.

It can be an improvement and still be slow and boring. If this had been the first submission, few would have been generous enough to offer even a meh. People are hyped for the frame wars, but it'd be a trick to convey that in the publication.

Most entertaining route so far ;-) It's still really short, and the graphics are more discernible than ET, so it's amusing enough.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

"Frame wars" done so quickly on such a short and simplistic game doesn't speak much to the attention paid in the first place. This is the kind of thing I'd think would be more suited for a dyanamic programming type solution than... this.

What would be the limit of speed? Sub-18?
If I could have a tool-assisted real life, I'd... Being a novice, I'd probably load the wrong state, have the IRS AI bankrupt me, and eventually make me want to kill myself and redo 11 years of hard work.

I don't think sub-18 is possible. I think the limit is a little above 19 seconds. That is, unless we find a super awesome glitch that just makes this 4 times shorter :)

Oh, please. It's an A2600 game. Of course you'll find one!

Actually, it being an A2600 game reduces the chances of finding something interesting. The game is so simple and small-scale, that I don't see much of a chance for there being anything game-breaking in this one. And yeah, I doubt even the possibility of sub-19. There's not a lot to be saved anymore, unless something really unlikely happens.

In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.
