Rush'n Attack TAS "1-player" in 0:09:45:77 by McBobX

Goals

  • Aims for fastest time possible
  • 1-player
  • Genre:Action
  • Genre:Plateform

feos: There is already a faster published branch for this game, and it is in Vault. This movie's goal then is ineligible for Vault, but it was not liked, so it's not for Moons either. Rejecting.

He's submitted a lot of runs that don't beat existing records without any explanation. http://tasvideos.org/Subs-2727up.html

hmm then if any game can play with 2 players then we can make 2 TAS, 1 for 1 player, 2 for 2 players :D I think why don't make "pacifist", maybe it'll look better. Is it right ? :D

If the audience feels 1-payer run looks too similar to 2-payer run and doesn't enjoy it, it is rejected. Same for pacifist/no damage/whatever. I'm voting No on this run. It really looks like an inferiour version of the already vaulted 2P run. Hint: Making unvaultable versions of already vaulted runs is a bad idea in general.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

There is no current 1P run of this game, so which run are you talking about?

I'm questioning the level of optimization. There's a lot of climbing ladders only to later jump down again. In the final level, there even was a crouch to dodge a bullet which I really can't see how it can be justified.
