So, I started tasing Math Blaster. The game turned out to be quite funny actually. I just hadn't played it far enough to notice that there are different modes of gameplay after the space shooter part. I am currently stuck with luck manipulating good level layout. The challenge is to get through as many "number gates" as possible with the same answer. I have no idea how many level layout possibilities there are. Maybe there exists a level layout where all gates can be completed with the initial number? WIP is here. The best result so far is that I managed to get through 11 gates with the initial number, but there are still many gates before the level ends. Feel free to join the project, if you want.
