Are you sure its not possible to do the glitch from ricocheting the vines. Also I think it you did this tactc except facting the oposite way then you may be able to fall down and roll when you land instead of having to jump slash the vines. Anyway glad to see that you're continuing.
That's a boundary violation, though...yes, I know this isn't SDA.

What if you compare between the current published run and this? What was the improvement?

Mikwuyama OKed the trick a weeks ago, if it was a boundary violation the you'd fall into the void, there is no empty space being crossed.

Sorry for not reading but there are quite a number of pages and I can't seem to grasp what is going on currently, is the recent discussion about a 100% run or a optimization of the TSA run completed earlier by guanobowl (the 2 hour run)??? If there is a new WIP for a 100% run anyone mind linking the movie file? Thanks.

Optimization of the current run. I don't know of anyone's plans for a TAS of 100%

pay attention, it's on this page. Just browse around http://tas.monotoli.org/mov/oot/wip 01 is the rupee run, 2-02 is the new deku tree, and everything in /old is most of the progress of the old run up until the fire temple or whatever when it desynced and I couldn't make these files anymore. VVVV- I don't get a 404 ????

I dain't get no 404 neither. That file listing is a pain though - doesn't show the whole filename even though the whole line only takes about about half my browser width... Had to mouseover to find the file.

ooh - much nicer - you should use some mod_rewrite stuff to redirect the first url over to that page :p

I just put files there. the code and space all is thanks to Spacecow. It's really not a big deal to mouseover. The important thing is that the files are there

Damn. At this rate, eventually a way will be found to warp directly from Kokiri Forest to the end credits. :D

Doutbful... but if so, it'd better be discovered extremely soon before Guano gets too far... I feel sympathetic in that many great time savers are discovered in portions of his run that's already done... The Deku Tree was great btw.

I'm telling ya, if you can break out of the boundary of Link's House in Kokori forest, you will fall right into the battlefield of the final Ganon fight!

There's a difference between humorous posts and posts that are just inane.

yeah, that's what miffs me. I think the guard problem was addressed a while ago... I don't know if a solution was found or not, but hopefully by the time guano gets there a solution will be found.

I'm very happy to see progress on this again. The deku tree was great looking. It definitly looks like a genuine TAS now. Totally crazy fast, glitches exploited, plus lots of perfection. Gj.
