Why exactly does that work anyway? It is because the shields up?

I dont know exactly but if i was to guess id have to say because while you have your shield up, most other actions are ignored until you put your shield down (picking up an item, climbing a ladder, etc) Supersliding into the fight freezes links shield up and so losing the master sword is ignored. When you finally put your shield down after the cutscene, the game no longer wants you to lose your master sword and so you keep it

However, a similar "when Link enters area" trigger cutscene, when you arrive at Hyrule Castle gate and Zelda+Shiek run away and Ganandorf appears, if you superslide into the cutscene, it's not delayed, nor does holding your shield up affect anything at all (the scene is shown with his shield down). Also, you cannot use superslides to skip Owl cutscenes, also a "when link enters area" trigger.

I did not say a superslide could skip a cutscene. Also that cutscene is different because it alters your equipment. If im not mistaken the only other cutscene that does this is the light arrows cutscene and that is activated as soon as you enter the ToT not allowing you to superslide.

If you recall, the screen fades out once you trigger that cutscene. The Ganon cutscene in question does not do that.

Here is the introduction part of the youtube series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC_9pES-tGY I uploaded this part alone mostly to show the format and quality that I will be using for all the videos and get comments about the videos quality/disclaimer/etc. in order to see what i can change for future segments since i have never encoded a run before

You CAN use a superslide to skip the owl cut scenes :) It is displayed in my run to skip the owl outside of Kakariko Village chaosv1: Thanks a lot, it's a great offer to add segments of my child route to Youtube, but i'd rather wait until it's finished until that type of publicity is used. I'm more comfortable with just the forums seeing my WIPs, but once i finish the run that'd be awesome. Also it'd be cool to see it on google video as well, since that way it doesn't have to be segmented.

Where in the bottom of the well are the bombchus?

They're in a separate room with a chest. Are you planning to use zelda's lullabye to drain the water, or clip your way through the wall with the skulltula? (also, don't you already have bombchu's from spirit temple?)

If you plan on beating all dungeons/temples then you're best getting them from the Spirit.

What about RBA to get bombs, beat child temples (maybe not deku tree) as adult?

Jabu Jabu wouldn't be possible because he's banished by Ganondorf. Dodongo's Cavern could be done though

Wait, so that's the reason he's gone as adult link? How did you find out, or is it just common sense? And it's best to make up the route before you start, not while you're doing the run.

Going to adult link is so you can get bombs quickly with RBA. What if you did deku tree and jabu jabu as child without chus or bombs. Then become adult and RBA bombs, maybe songs too and do the rest of the temples.

If you are talking about me, I already have had my route planned since before i started. Spider-waffle: I think doing all that RBA AND all temples would just take more time in the longrun due to all the switching back and forth between areas and from child/adult link

Bloobiebla, when is a bottle required in your route? I haven't played all dungeons in a long time but I can't remember ever needing one. Meh, it's probably something obvious that I overlooked.

I don't know if there'd be that much switching opposed to your route, I mean you be child, do 2 temples, become adult, do rest, so only 1 switch there, then if you could RBA the songs you could get to all the places quickly. Then there's always doing forest temple as child cause it only takes 20 seconds, and you can RBA for qwiver.

I think the point of Bloobiebla's run, which is to complete all temples, is lost when you beat the forest temple as a kid in 20 seconds like in SwordLessLink's video. As I stated earlier, I think if you're going to take the time to beat all the temples, you may as well do so as intended and beat the temples fully, rather than skipping most of them just to save time in a run where the fastest time is not the goal but showing off the entirety of the game.

I agree with Comical except about the "as intended" part. The point of the run as i understand it is to beat all the temples and trials. However I dont think that bloobiebla will be completing the dungeons anyway like the designers intended. Glitches are used and I am assuming the adult dungeons will be done out of order. Still though as Comical said I dont think the forest temple as a child would be as entertaining as bloobiebla has planned it as an adult, especially after SL made the video of it. EDIT: and oh ya where can bloobiebla get the extra bombchus to hover into the temple

As old as time itself. Chaos, I meant "as intended" obviously not getting every single silver key and such, but not using some clipping glitch to beat the temple in less than 4 minutes. Playing most of the mini bosses, getting most of the items, getting the boss key, etc. You know what I mean.

I strongly disagree. The run aims for the fastest time collecting all stones and medallions. The point is is to show off the glitches and strategies that won't be used in the fastest run because of the RBA/ToT skip tricks. Using glitches is way faster and way more entertaining than playing through everything as the programmers intended. And Bloobiebla's doing great, the run is very entertaining so far.

Sorry to end this discussion that you all seem to be so involved in.. but another side-goal was to avoid the DoT skip and RBA completely. I think RBA and DoT skip's main goal is to skip dungeons/temples and wouldn't be that appealing to see done in an all jewels run

So zOMG, you're looking forward to half of the temples being essentially skipped with major glitches, even though the medallion/what have you is collected at the end? Yeah, I can see how a few seconds of the temple and the entire cutscene at the end would be entertaining and all. I think Bloobiebla knows what he's doing, and that we should all shut up and see what he does. Now if only I could get the settings to work again, this run is always desynching on me in the deku tree no matter what I do.
