I thank you. What would have made it better would be no desync i the middle which is where i had to redo it. 2. The menu blows but i did it on my laptop and im on my comp now because i fixed my internet. Also this is the same one as before but i shaved off 20 seconds of lag. And Forehead when i mean when school gets boring this is what i mean. Wakes up at 4: 30 - 5 Am depending on homework. Shower at 6 am. Plays Halo 3 6:20- 6:50. Gets breakfast at deli 7am Walks to school 7: 10 am Arrives at school 7:35 School 7:50- 2:35 Gets home at 3 Nap from 3:30- 6 Play games until 11 Sleep from 11: 15 - 4:30/5:30

When I was in highschool, I got up at 5:15 regularly, so I could get to school at 06:00 for swimming/water polo practice (practice from 06:00-7:30 and then from 15:00 to 17:00). I also went to bed at around 21:00, though.

Sorry for bumpies, but I am just wondering what happened to the MP3 version of JXQ's OoT commentary. Due to a rather unfortunate, frustration-at-my-hoarding-activities-motivated intentional near-wipe of my external hard drive, I lost all of my speedruns, and I am slowly restoring my collection. However, now the link on the all dungeons OoT TAS to the commentary shoots me over to an Archive.org page, that offers the video fused with the audio. I already have the video, so was wondering if someone could link me to the MP3 version, as I find manually synching the two to be very easy. Apologies if this is already viewable on one of the hundreds of pages of this thread, but I have not been a regular reader of it, and thus, have no idea whereabouts to start searching. Peace and love, Franklint

Did you record it from a savestate by chance?

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php Once you upload it, you have to copy and paste the file onto the forum if we're able to look at it.

i dont know and i suppose to create a savestat then record cause if so then im screwed. Edit thats bad i spent 2 hours on My route for 2 and 1/2 minutes of gameplay. Is there any way to create a save stat to go with my .m64 file? If not i guess ill have to redo it.

If you can position Link perfectly from where ever you started recording, than yes, but if links not from a loading area, everything has to be pixel perfect. Basically if you can position him, start recording an m64 from snapshot, and rename that snapshot whatever your origonal m64 is named.

I think your best bet is to scrap the run you have, start a new movie from "Start" (which is the default option for a reason, btw), learn from your mistake, and redo. I bet you will optimize it more your previous run. Then you can just call it a happy accident.

Never mind i am able to use microstorage now but i cant upload my file because it says M64 movie begins from external savestate. Rejected. Anyway since i have desyncs in it is there anyway i can play the movie back and record from the desyncs while it being on the same .M64 file?

So you started a new run, and it too starts with savestate? You do realize you shouldn't be doing that, right?

Im confused but what i did was create a a savestat and relocate it to a external disk. Then i load the savestat and make a new movie. What i did with my desync is i played the movie untill i got a few frames before the desync and recorded from there. Ill link my Rupee Route video when i get it uploaded. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkb2zmZ2-KM Total rerecords - 918 Frames 8454 Note that this is my first real TAS. When i say that i mean with the TAS input plugin and using frame by frame shooting. Tell me anything that is improvable. Feel free to criticize.

Don't start recording, and then load a savestate that isn't from the movie. Mupen64 will desync. Open the rom, start recording the movie from start and not snapshot. Then only load savestates that are part of the movie. If you load a state from somewhere else, the movie will desync. Also I have to agree that you are becoming a much better TASer.

Yes, you used a savestate, and you started from that savestate hence you "started from savestate". Not only will something like this be rejected. NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH YOUR MOVIE unless you provide the savestate. You also cant' upload the savestate to microstorage.

Alright, I am pretty sure i understand everything now. This might have been answered but how do you do the vine text skip in the deku tree? Also here is a link to microstorage. Im just testing to see if it works. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/527987803/full%20game%20TAS.m64
