I'm having trouble with the superslide on the PeaHat in Hyrule Field. Any suggestions?
Are you having trouble (A) performing any superslide at all, (B) performing it quickly or (C) supersliding in the correct direction?

Performing the superslide on an enemy. I got the direction perfectly and run right next to the peahat without getting sliced. If I can get the superslide, I can get to Guerdo Fortress without the sun going down!

I think that you need to roll towards a bush or something grabbable, then pressa to grab in the roll, then get pushed by something. Better ask acryte though

You wait for the Peahat to start spinning around, then you roll into a piece of grass while holding Z+R and tap A, so as to have the Peahat hit you will you go down to grab the grass.

Definitely a cool trick. Is this feasible in a run? I don't suppose it would be considering you need to get a bean plant, hover boots, nayru's love, etc before hand...

Kazooie's trick is not only old, but is not applicable in this run. We're doing Bottle Adventure, meaning that the Forest Temple is the only adult dungeon that needs to be completed.

Wow, got to Guerdo Valley 1 min. 44 sec. ahead. I even beat the wolf howling. Thank you peahat, for saving ~14 Seconds. The way I attempted the peahat technique was the easiest way around the peahat and getting him to hitting me at the right spot. Also sliding on the gate was faster than jumping over it and backwalking to the 2nd gate. Here is a .zip with the following: Savestate1 - Kokiri(Beginning of game) Savestate2 - Deku Tree(Entrance) Savestate3 - Kokiri-to-Guerdo http://rapidshare.de/files/32591121/THE_LEGEND_OF_ZELDA__USA_.zip.html AKA: for the Bottle Adventure, in your route, you forgot to mention planting the bean at Lake Hyrule after Jabu.

Ah I already thought of a way round this, you just play the scarecrow song as a child and then get it from the scarecrow as an adult and then hookshot up to the fishing game. Then again we need to test time gained and wasted from doing each strategy. EDIT: OK not a lot to fault although was falling into the water the best thing when backwalking saria.

I liked your first 230 run of OoT, but there are a few questions about the next run that I have 1. Which is faster - backwalk or sidehop? You seemed to alternate between the two at will during the first run. 2. It IS possible to backwalk-sidehop in Link's house right at the beginning. Why do you roll instead? 3. The Kokiri shop needs some work. At least some rolling (if backwalking interferes)? 4. Why don't you skip King Zora with a groundjump? Why go through the whole cinematic sequence of him moving his big fat ass so you can go through? Is that way faster somehow? 5. Is it possible to store GJs with a Bombchu? If so, wouldn't it be quicker to stand in front of a wall, set a bombchu down, raise your shield etc.? and one last question not concerning the run 6. Recently saw the Adult Deku Tree run...is it possible to get inside the Deku Tree as an adult without using Gameshark's moonjump cheat? Or am I missing something as a way to do it legitimately besides groundjumping? Elitist answers are allowed; flaming is not kthnx (.

usually backwards walking, when going upwards sidehopping. For short distances sidehopping can also be quicker if it takes less time to align yourself.
4. Why don't you skip King Zora with a groundjump? Why go through the whole cinematic sequence of him moving his big fat ass so you can go through? Is that way faster somehow?
my guess is that the skip wasn't known by the time he did that part.

I never tried, but you should be able to replace moonjumping with bomb hovering if you carry enough explosives.

You can enter the Deku tree as an adult without any cheats... I think PyroTHPS (fluffy kitten) has a video on youtube.

OK then 1. Backwalking is fastest movement, sidehops are used to alter path. 2. I don't know what you mean, but no. 3. I didn't see what was wrong with the shop, you can talk to shopkeeper midway through a roll. Backwalking isn't usually possible in pre-rendered area's 4. Groundjump, no way hozae, it would take GJ X10 to reach the ledge. Hovering over him would probally save about 5 mins. 5. You can't grab a bombchu while its on the run so no. 6. Yes its possible and it only requires bombs and hoverboots. I discovered how to do that a long time ago. Check Pyrothps video. Would you class what I said as flaming style answers?

Falling into the water(after Mido, 2nd encounter) was the best idea, it took literally only 1 second and it saved me from hitting the corner of the gate and the exit of Kokiri.

Savestate at Guerdo Valley(Before Gate) http://rapidshare.de/files/32693316/THE_LEGEND_OF_ZELDA__USA_.zip Enjoy Time to start the bottle adventure! Question: Do I get the Bomb Bag in Dodongo's Cavern rather than in the Bombchu Bowling game for the Bottle Adventure?

Yes you do get it because its needed to skip King Zora, and for various other tricks. Its also needed in Ganon's Tower to defeat all the enemies since you won't have a sword on you, plus your going to need in excess of about 50 bombs, so you'll need refills. We'll still need the bottle to deflect the thunderbolt back to Ganondorf and to do the bottle adventure , so you get it from the Ranch by doing the cucco game which is either done after talking to Zelda or after completing Jabu.
