• Emulator: PCSX-RR v0.1.3
  • Bios:SCPH1001.BIN
  • Category:Playaround
This run features Mokujin who first appears in this game and later appears in all but Tekken 4. Where he is temporarily replaced by another Character named Combot. Unlike Mokujin, Combot can only mimic a different character's moveset for every match instead of every round. Mokujin is meant truly to test how well you know who you are, how well you can play said character, can you play the matchups you are given, and can you trick the opponent from guessing which character you are.\par
There was only a few characters i couldn't play as in this TAS with Mokujin. Gon,Dr. Boscnovich, Anna Williams, Ogre, and True Ogre.
To play back this movie. You must use the verification movie provided, and play until it's finished. Save in game. Then Hit escape and you are set ! Just make sure the Memory Card is in Slot 1 if it isn't.
As well as the Bin must be compressed in the bin.bz format
I would like to thank everybody who helped out in the Tekken topic. These people are as follows. Without their help and feedback, this movie wouldn't have been as great as it is now.
-grassini -Warepire -Spikestuff -Zeupar -Solarplex -Mothrayas -Spiderwaffle and whoever else pitched in
Memory Card File-[dead link removed]

feos: Accepting to Moons.
Spikestuff: Sync Note: In order for this to run on pcsx-rr you must compress the bin/iso to the bz format.

Yes. Also I think it should just probably say playround as the branch name but that can be figured out later. Character breakdown on who Mokujin is each round:
Paul | Hwoarang
Eddy | Nina
Yoshimitsu | Lei
Bryan | Xiaoyu
Heihachi | Julia
King | Law
Jin | Kuma/Panda
Gun Jack | Yoshimitsu
Nina | Hwoarang
Xiaoyu | Jin

Mokujin is essentially the Shang Tsung of the game, so it offers more possibilities for a playaround. A sensible choice that results in a fairly enjoyable TAS.

TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

Pretty entertaining. Showed off a lot of fun stuff with each character. Solid yes vote from me; this is a no-frills, fun exhibition that I rather enjoyed.

fun run, lovelly ending too bad we don't see more 10 hit combos and some hard one hit finishers ( like paul hyper punch or jack2 150% charged punch if my memory's correct ) loved the gunjack match too yes

I liked this. It has a little bit of everything: Long combo chains, showing off multithrows, landing seemingly impossible unblockables, taunting and hit avoidance, and the Gun Jack mirror match was hilarious. Voted Yes!

I thought this was fun. I felt sorry for the little girl who took a particularly brutal beating.

I really liked the parts where you dodged and circled the opponent. This movie also shows as many moves as possible from all the characters you played (through Mokujin), that kind of variety is what makes it fun to watch. Add some funny finishers and matches to the recipe and we end up with that nice playaround :)

Having followed this almost religiously, I must say this turned out amazing. Well done Cooljay, shows off a lot of quirks with the game and pulls off many impressive moves in a very entertaining order. I voted yes.

congrats for the good job!
TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Cool! Gun Jack's fight alone would be enough make it clear that this is a really well done playaround. But what you did to Hwoarang was disgusting. What kind of final "blow" was that? Of course I enjoyed it, so here's another Yes.
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.

Nice how you also managed to fit a seppuku there. Although I'm baffled on why is that even a move for a character in a fighting game. >.>

Yoshimitsu is a gimmick character. And suicidal attacks (or just plain suicides) aren't that rare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8zx9qxCSvM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auTRDI6UI2k&#t=1m15s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imgL89xor9U

What do people think of this for subs (click the images): I only did this because Mokujin acts as different characters in the TAS so I just wanted to show something that would benefit those who don't know the characters Mokujin is acting as. Obviously I got to use a better font for smaller sizes but for HQ it should be fine.

In terms of screenshots I've also shot these: It was for this forum, the shots I took wasn't taken seriously or with care.

Great concept put in great movie. It shows off numerous enthusiastic combos in the game thank to Mokujin being able to swap his move set. While some combos felt just ordinary (possibly because I'm not so familiar with Tekken), the other ones like constant dodging that humiliates the AIs looked so comical and amusing. I'm positive with publishing this as well.

Okay, I can't go with the branch name "Mokujin" can we just simply call the branch "playround"? Yes, I'm requesting someone to think about the branch name.
