Similarly, if I wanted numbers, I'd go watch the Olympic. Because I do know the general difference between lower frame count and faster gameplay. (No, they are not equal, and such thing as different camera angles illustrate that pretty well.) And it should be noted that I visit this site for entertainment, not for staring at numbers.

Wow! Sandland was fabulous! And I really mean it. It was very, very entertaining. I noticed you managed to hit the left bosshand without it opening it's hand while FODA couldn't do it (no offence FODA ;) ). Looking forward for the next WIP.
Which run should I encode next? :)

^I'm more interested in fast game completions than fast track completions. Although I do like the latter.

That stuck out to me too, even though I haven't seen FODAs run in a while. I wonder what needed to be changed.

A very good question actually. I bet it would start a long, and ugly argument.
We can only hope this never comes up. There is a divide in the community, and the last page only goes to show that things get ugly, fast.

Assuming Rikku isn't redoing B2, can't people just forget about the camera and review/comment on the latest WIP? This would be a better discussion for a test run or a WIP that would be subject to redoing. My opinion.

So why even watch the runs then? Why not simply note that a faster run has been completed, maybe read over the submission texts, and then nod your head? I don't want to stir up that age old debate of time vs entertainmrnt, but I'll say this: boring movies will never be not boring.

Good idea.

Off-topic: I honestly enjoyed that Tetris run more (watched more times, showed to more friends, and laughed more) than any others yet this month. Thanks for posting that link. On-topic: I think the level of camera movement in Shifting Sand Land was appropriate. I think Rikku has displayed a proper balance thus far, and I accept the horrible angles of Dire Dire Docks as a display of mercy to spare the viewers from horrific lag. Great run so far!

That looked good. No major problems. The first part of the coin route looked as if it could have been a bit tighter (could the dropped blue coin then line of coins then red coins in that order be faster than what you did?) but the rest of it looked great. Keep it up. Progress on this is extremely fast to say the least.

Straight up, gangbusters! This has so much showmanship written all over it that I have to say you're doing a great job. I like how everything looks as it's optimized, so much style put into it. I also found the camera angles to be very nicely done (some are subtle but some are very apparent and work well). Basically, I haven't been this impressed since when FODA started doing his initial run. Keep it up, it's looking absolutely great.

So much quality progress in so little time leads me to believe that you have either just lost your job or a significant other, and are pouring all of your frustration into this run. However, whatever your motivation is, keep at it because the results are fantastic!

It takes me like 5 hours to make a TAS of getting 8 coins on BitFS and he makes a WIP in 1-2 days. Rikku your impressing us all.

This was really well done. when going for the metal cap it seemed you jumped too far into the silvery pool, a dive would probably be better than the longjump. Once or twice I swore I saw non-optimal angles. But overall this was incredibly good, and many spots I'm like "wow! That was different and faster!" How much time did this stage save?

So was that last star really faster by going to the back than by walljumping left and right beforehand? Superb work.

Ah, my favourite stage completely destroyed. I loved it. Nothing to improve as far as I could see. Keep up the good work!

It's nice to check back every few days and see a WIP, and a damn good one at that. Great work!
