If I recall, you can get into the red coins area, but you can't get into Wiggler's Cave. That being the case, be sure to remember my incredible strategy for draining the water...

I'm not sure if there is some confusion in the topic or not, but this is what I'm talking about, more specifically: It is definetly possible to enter the side of the mountain next to the Chuk-ya when the island is Huge, swim to the surface, and jump into the loading zone for the Wiggler fight. Whether or not this is faster than getting up top and jumping into the hole needs to be tested. What I'm wondering is if it would be possible to get up to the pipe, make the island huge, jump through the wall next to the chuk-ya, and jump into the loading zone from inside, even though the water isn't drained. You wouldn't be big mario while doing this, if that's what you meant, FODA, because i'm not sure what you meant by the hole being too small.

oh, you're right, mario starts swimming when he gets under the flooded area.. so you can swim to the loading point. i get it. i was worried that the loading point was too small that there would be no way mario could reach it after glitching through the side of the top of the mountain, i thought he'd fall before having any chance of getting close to the loading point.

Just a small point, but when making WIPs I find it most enjoyable when a level is complete, rather than stopping in the middle of a level. The latest WIP stops in the middle of Big-Small island, and in my DCK2 102% I make sure to end all my WIPs at the end of each level I complete, it makes it easier to watch.

that's because that isn't the TAS for tiny huge island, it's just testing.

So I guess TAS-ing will restart tomorrow, right? BTW, I know it's a little early, but I found something that will really help in TTC. It's a lot harder than it looks, but it's definitely a major timesavor.

No, the Tic-Tock-Tower level correct? I remembered hating that level immensely when I played it as a kid, it seemed to go up and up and up and up....

OH! Of course, what a terrible mistake! I meant TTC, for Tick Tock Clock! I'll edit that right away, before FODA accidentally uses that in the wrong course and all hell breaks loose!

wall jumps do help a lot in that level, by going straight up instead of around and up like the level intended. I'm sure that FODA already had such wall jump-madness planned for that level.

I didn't see that jump in the original basic TAS, and I think I'm the first person to discover it, so... I hope he uses it.

I've been wall jumping to skip huge sections of TTC for ages. I bought SM64DS a few months ago and got even better at it. FODA definitely would have figured out how to quickly get to the top. That level's going to be amazing.

In general this whole run is going to be amazing. Most stars are gotten in fast unorthodox manner, plus I always appreciate 100% runs of games more than minimalistics runs because you get to see the whole game (one of the reasons for me doing DCK2 102%). Is the upward wind shortcut that's right next to the 1up mushroom when you backtrack from the beginning of the level going to be used in Tall Tall Mountain?

it's funny how you typo'd by typing 'DCK' twice, even though you're the runner of it, and your sig has 'Donkey Kong Country' in it.

From what I'm guessing, FODA will probably use that once or twice, but he'll mostly just go right through the mountain.

There's a space in between polygons at the beginning you can jump through so that you can swim straight up through the mountain. It's the quickest way up, though FODA might use the air current for a couple of the stars, such as "Mysterious Mountainside".
