Thats exactly what I was thinking, except for doing it when the key falls down from dead bowser and bounces. Thats what I used to do and it looked very funny. A tired, red blinking health mario, having to resort to crawling to get the bowser key. Used to make me laugh.

That has so many walls everywhere that getting caught is going to be a pain, unless you get it after the invisible cap, in which case the time used to set up the BLJ could be more than simply getting the star. As for before the invisible cap... the place is a maze, and probably a BLJ would be frustrating to do/maneuver.
Or maybe it can be used. This was a great test run nonetheless.

aha
all of the areas reached seemed fast enough, and how would a BLJ stop? I don't see any stopping triggers (except for one star, the one next to the shell) like King Bomb-bomb's text dialogue or flying through the air to crash on the ground.
FODA: I can't honestly tell you if this is faster or not, but it has a chance.
In SL, instead of taking a direct route to the area with the shell, if you head more left, then triple jump up the green slope, you can gain a lot of speed on a small downwards slope. You can then jump all the way to the boxes with the star and shell if you slide on the right part of the slope and jump at the right time. Taking a direct route may outweigh the benefits of the slope jump.
Looking good, AKA.
Edit: Sorry, I meant Snowman's Land, SL, not SSL
And out of curiosity, is it really faster to long jump and wall kick up to the first platform in CCM's Wall Kick's Will Work than it is to do a simple side jump? I would think the optimal method would involve a forward side jump coming from the side and the double jump for the wallkick starting on the first platform. Perhaps a triple jump from the side would work as well.

AKA: i had played that before using a hacked rom i think. it'd be useful... if we just had memory watch functionality, it would be easy.
Jammer01: i know what you mean, but the LJ-wallkick seems to be faster because after a backflip mario doesn't have much running speed to go up the necessary bit before doing the backflip-wallkick up to the star.
mr_roberts_z: he meant in snowman's land, not SSL.
About BLJ in snowman's land, it might be possible in the ice cube, but i don't see where it would help. Maybe in red coins, if there was a way to do it and fall on the plataform with the shell without losing momentum (so i'd substitute the shell with mario running ridiculously fast backwards). But that goes agains the rule of it being on higher grounds than on the BLJ triggering point.

I've seen two cases where a BLJ goes above the grounds of the trigger point- your fight against the Bomb-bomg King, and AKA's getting the star on the island in that same level.

which was done by me in the first place.
But those cases use a continuous uneven ground to go up. Can't be done on slopes and can't be done if the there are obstacles.

I think you mean slopes you cant walk up (or stand still on). AKA is able to blj up the slope in lobby (the one that looks like stairs) just fine.
That's because he used the lobby glitch to BLJ, and then paused the movie so that it looked like he used the lobby stairs to BLJ.
You can only BLJ on stairs if you can visibly see Mario bobbing up and down as he walks up or down. On the lobby stairs, Mario doesn't shake at all because it's just a slope with stair graphics.

That's not what asteron and I were talking about...
He didn't activate the BLJ on the stairs, he was just able to go through it while at high speed (it isn't stairs, it's a flat ground with stairs graphics). It isn't a slope in my concept because it works like ground, only it's tilted. Slopes make mario slide, and those can't be walked on while BLJ running.
I define "slope" as planes that make you slide if you stand on them. The rest is ground, like those stairs.
Ahhh ok... I was thinking more literally about it as an unflat surface... but yeah I agree for this game it is helpful to make a distinction like that.
It does seem as if "slopiness" is a quality applied to the surface as opposed to concluded from its inclination.
This signature is much better than its previous version.

Has looked videopassage spezzafer.
I have seen tricks about which did not represent...
Nobody knows, how them to carry out? Namely to pass through the closed doors with a subject in hands?
And how to do a broad jump, but after that that Mario slided back?

To do the jumping backwards, it's just like doing the jump forwards, but holding down on the control stick instead of up. You need to do it a lot of times in a row though to make it useful. If you're trying to do it, do a regular long jump, but after jumping, change from holding up on the stick to holding down. Hold Z, and keep pressing A each time you land. If you do it in certain places, like the stairs leading to Bowser, he will get faster and faster until he can go right through doors and stuff.
For getting Mario through the door while holding the rabbit, it's hard to do. You need to go up to the door, drop the rabbit using Z, and sometimes you will go through the door. If that doesn't work, you need to try jumping in between where the rabbit is and the door, and sometimes you will merge with the door. From here, you just need to grab the rabbit, turn around, and put him on the other side, then go through the door to the side the rabbit is now on. It's the same for the door with a star on it, except if you need to do the jump trick, you'll go right through the door instead.
That may not be 100% accurate, it's been a while since I tried to do that glitch.
I was messing about on a console last night, and I was wondering about a few things.
In Silent Slayer video I nothiced he glitede into a pilar using the lobby glitch and was able tolevatate in the pillar and then cross the void and effectibley go anywhere he wanted.
My point is what if Mips could be used to get into a pillar and do a side flip wall jump and into the invisible water might it be possible to swim to the star room and possibly skip DDD.
My other theory about skiping DDD is based on one of Fierces TWW video, in which Zelda is used a speech cancel. I was able to get 90% of Mario body through the DDD wall by using ^C cancels, buy I always ended up entering the area, but in might be possible with emu.
While messing about in BitRS, I notcied that the lift can be used to store BLJ's, I wonder if is possile to gain enough speed and control to reach the platform before it falls and then fly far enough to hit the lava and go straight into the Bowser#2 battle, I also notciced that it might be quicker to use the land on the left at the top tier to LJ along instead of intentially taking damage when heading for Bowser#2.
