Just informing that the 120 stars TAS is done. I'm on the process of submission, with a little problem that the submission form limits the zip file size to 100 kb, but the zip is 125 kb big. Should be fixed soon.

I just found this on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30PoZ0tlIwM The interesting one is the BLJ in CCM. I did not know BLJ was possible from deep snow/grass/sand.

JSmith, If you're talking about the first trick, he was actually hitting mario's head on the ceiling, which was low at that part. it had nothing to do with ground type. I can't explain the "wall walking" trick. Wouter: thanks :)

Have you tried using 7-Zip or Info-Zip to see if you can reduce the size of your file further?

I don't think these are accepted for submission... Probably have to check with the moderators to see how this can be worked around

Bisqwit will probably override the limitation and add the zip manually. He's asleep, let's wait.

H:MM:SS 1:42:41 thank DeHackEd for awesome emulator movie space (end input problem fixed by adding a couple of extra frames after grabbing the star).

AVI Prerelease to those who want it. Edit: this version is from an old version of the M64 which doesn't actually collect the final star. After the movie ended, I just pressed JUMP for the hell of it.

No, no, no.... they can make PKZIP files, though they tend to have excellent compression ratios. Though come to think of it, AdvanceCOMP can often recompress (compatible) PKZIP files smaller than most compressors.

now is that the AVI in its entirety or the latest installment? I look foward to its viewing no matter what it is.

We already tried that. The 125 KB/sec result is from running advzip on a file of about 145 KB in size.

Ah, I see. Well maybe it's time to allow larger files, maybe 200KiB would be nice; though if longer N64 runs are to come, it might not be enough :/

This run is made of win! Only one thing: is it just me or does this run not actually end? For me, the final star after the third Bowser battle appears and Mario just kinda stands around.

Thanks. yea, the movie file was still screwed up, even after hours trying to fix it. I've updated the file now, it seems fixed.

I just finished watching it, oh man it was fun all the way. You're probably glad it's finally over, huh. This is practically guaranteed to be submitted, and you should be proud of it!

Just a word of advice to everyone about the AVI: Let's try not to spread it around, because it's incomplete/unoptimal compression, etc. It's there so you can watch before the real AVI is out.
