The glitch is performed in the "Area 1-1" portion of the 1st stage, during the transition off of the first elevator. While on the elevator, Down+A is held as you transition back up again from the bottom screen (RAM address: 0x200 to 0x00EC), causing your character to fall out-of-bounds into a glitched area of the map. Entering and landing in this area causes the game to execute the ending.
Game system
Metroid and Castlevania 2 type
In order to go to the "Area 1-1", the computer must be destroyed.
GP: Collecting 8 of them allows you to wear armor that cuts damage in half 8 times.
Hyper Ray is needed to open the red gate. One use costs 5 CP, and it must be used 3 times to open the gate.
Star Crystal is needed to make the hidden elevator to the alien world appear. One use costs 10 CP.
Furthermore, if you use the same bug on this elevator (instead of the one in the TAS), you can move around on the "map" below screen 1.
The included video link is an added analysis of the glitch (still in Japanese), further explaining that it appears to be caused by the game interpreting map data as instruction to go directly to the ending.

It's about as good as my Japanglish (I'm so out of practice...).

Kurabupengin: I found the submission comments hard to understand. You had a rude way to say it though. A lot of people don't speak English as their first language or have to use machine translation.
Anyway, this is a pretty fun movie! Even though the movie is only about 3 minutes, there's still some variety in the gameplay and optimization concerning which enemies to attack and which to damage-boost through. The glitch is quite surprising. I'd say this earns a Yes vote.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically.
Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.)
Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html)
Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature!
Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.
I'd actually like to suggest that TASVideos get a dedicated localizer for the Japanese language. That way, Japanese TASers can use their native language to write the author notes, and they can then get translated into English for the rest of us, thus preventing hostility and confusing machine translations. Just a person fluent in both languages with editor rights.
As for this run, it was quite entertaining! The game itself looks really interesting (a Metroidvania that never made it out of Japan???) and then something happens (memory corruption? I wish I knew what was going on at this point) which results in this game just... welll... RIP.

Admittedly, I'm not fluent in Japanese, but I have a solid foundation in general sentence and grammatical structure, and tense usage (I took two years in college, from 2011-2013). I would be willing to volunteer for this position, in order to bridge the language gap with our Japanese community (this would also motivate me to continue consistent studies).
If TASVideos is looking to fill such a position, I would love to volunteer and help in an increasing manner.

Sounds great. Language barrier is one of the most serious problems for many Japanese TASers, since machine translator doesn't work well between ja-en in most cases. I suggested to AmaizumiUni a few times that he include his original description written in Japanese with complete sentences as possible, so we can fill the gap more easily. I'm also expecting some Japanese TASers can help translators with such translation, which would make entire translation much more satisfactory. Anyway then, in order for us to avoid any confusion/ambiguity, the author notes would be desired to have good sentences (I mean, to have fewer slang words or abbreviations or something). I think I can help the site make such guidelines to some extent, though I'm almost inactive here these years.

Translation: He’s saying that he made a mistake that cost a couple of frames in various places, and he’s working on improving the movie atm. He should be done in a couple of days, so he’s asking for the judging to be on halt for a bit.

もし全体として大きく見た目が変わらないのなら、キャンセルという形ではなくムービーの差し替えという形でもかまわないと思いますよ。差し替えてもらう場合は、更新後のファイルを http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/ などにアップロードしてそのアドレスをこちらに書き込めばOKです。もし修正が見つかった場合に参考にしてもらえればと思います。

He's going to cancel his run if it can be improved, so I'm telling him to have his movie replaced if there's no big difference.

細かい修正で現時点で200フレームほど短くなりました(銀色の40回攻撃する敵を倒してでた時点)
大きな点は変わらないのでその形を取りたいと思います。

I think it was FractalFusion who was fluent in Japanese.
I'm not actually fluent. I can work hard to translate; that's all.
If you have something you want to translate from Japanese to English, I can help out.

That's all I had time to translate (I also didn't want to "hog" it all). FractalFusion, I know you're much further along in Japanese than I am. I just want to work towards being another helper here on Japanese-to-English translations. If I mistranslated any of the above statement, please correct me!

ars4326's translation looks good.
The rest of it:

異界に行くために銀色の機械を壊す必要がある
In order to go to the alien world, the silver-colored machinery must be destroyed.
GP Gyalivanpoint 8個集めると8回ダメージを半分にできる鎧を身に着けることができる
GP: Collecting 8 of them allows you to wear armor that cuts damage in half 8 times.
CP Cristalpoint weapon itemに分類されるものを使用する際に必要 特定の敵を倒すと回復アイテムドロップ
CP: Need this to use special weapons and items. You can defeat special enemies to drop CP restoration items.
・取得したweapon ハイパーレイ 赤いゲートを開けるために必要 1回5cp 扉を開けるために3回使う必要がある
Hyper Ray is needed to open the red gate. One use costs 5 CP, and it must be used 3 times to open the gate.
・取得したitem スタークリスタル 異界にいく隠しマップのエレベータを出現させるために必要 1回10cp
Star Crystal is needed to make the hidden elevator to the alien world appear. One use costs 10 CP.
なお、出現したエレベーターで同じバグを使用すると1画面下のMAP(ハイパーレイを取ったMAPの通路)にそのまま移動する
Furthermore, if you use the same bug on this elevator (instead of the one in the TAS), you can move around on the "map" below screen 1.
----
By the way, there is a guide on GameFAQs in English. It calls the alien world "Area 1-1" and the silver machinery enemy (or whatever it is) "computer". That's just that guide's name, I think.
thanks ars4326 and FractalFusion
