This game was going to be Sonic's first epic 3D adventure, competing with Crash Bandicoot and Mario 64... But it was never released and then we got it years later as Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. The demo is available online, and I tested it on BizHawk yesterday and it worked! But I don't know if this can be accepted, so it's just an idea.

I tried the tech demo and it doesn't even have levels. It's just a play area with Sonic in the Nights engine.
