Also, the main post needs some update because there's no more Genesis runs from the list.

Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure was published since less than 24 hours for 2019 (December 31). So, you can remove it! Well, since there no new news about the remaining games, probably I'll work on Kirby Super Star sometime during 2019 - but I can't really cornfirm it, since this game looks more tougher than some games I've worked for some months. My current TASing skills must be even tested first. If sucessful, a WIP will be posted on the game topic.

Done! There is a slim chance I'll work on Battletoads warpless later in the year if improvements to NESHawk are confirmed to make it work on console.

^ Alyosha: On the 1st level of #5093: feos, Alyosha & Samsara's NES Battletoads "warpless, 1 player" in 21:38.38, the stick can be picked up 1 frame earlier. Since it wasn't any revolutionary and pretty sure it would desync the movie, I didn't reported it until now. I only had fun with the first level so I don't know about other possible improvements. Also, if this project finishes, Wiki: MoviesToObsoleteFrom2005 will have the ending message revealed. If you want the spoiler, check out this page: Wiki: MoviesToObsoleteFrom2004.

So I used it in Level 1, saved 144 frames, and lost it all to the fucking global timer. Bah.

^ Ah, should have read the submission text first, thanks :) Now I recall that this was the case: either the magical "only one U or D before tap and hold L+R" or L+R, L+R, L+R type running start.

Zombies ate my Neighbors is done thanks to the work of Allbeert, it's been over a year since I last removed a run from the list, so a little new progress is nice!

Thanks to lobsterzelda for finishing Battletoads, now only 6 runs remain (all SNES now.) It's also interesting to note that only 90 of the first 1000 publications are still active, although i would suspect that of these there might actually be some that aren't improvable (Umihara Kawase and monopoly)

Umihara is probably improvable, I want to say there's some ILs that have been beaten but I forget which of these apply to fastest completion.
[16:36:31] <Mothrayas> I have to say this argument about robot drug usage is a lot more fun than whatever else we have been doing in the past two+ hours
[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero

FYI:the list of active pre-500M submissions on the first page is missing Kendo Rage and Deja Vu 2. Also, I looked at Super Smash TV recently, but it's a more complex case than I anticipated, since the current movie only sort-of aims for fastest time. So, IMHO, it would only be appropriate to obsolete it with something of equal entertainment, which isn't easy to decide on your own.

It would be enlightening to see how boring max speed is in comparison. Maybe it's not so bad if optimized well?

Tom Sawyer and Lethal enforcers are gone thanks to Lobsterzelda. Catrap is on the workbench but needs a little more work, should be done shortly. Will try to do the remaining GB/C games on the list. EDIT: Catrap done. Asmik World is VERY tedious but I'm making progress EDIT2: Asmik World done

Done, thanks for the update. As a side note: this movie is from 2004, so the list of active movies from that year is now non-empty.

Cosmo Tank done! This brings the total back to 15, with no more Gameboy games on the list. It's possible I'll try Rolo to the Rescue, the only remaining Genesis game next, or maybe Wai Wai World one player to once again obsolete 2004.

You forgot to remove Kendo Rage too, since the published run was obsoleted months ago. Meanwhile, good luck with the next project ;)

Woah how did I miss that? Thanks to Samsara for working on it! Thanks for the good luck, these Gameboy games were a horrible grind, some of these next few are more my pace, so hopefully the pace picks up a bit.

Wai Wai World is published and 2004 is obsoleted (again)! Only 5 runs left from 2005, which are also most of the remaining runs of the 'First 500' list. I'll probably do Rolo to the Rescue, it doesn't look too bad. After that it's hard to say, a lot of these runs look like they will be a real grind. I'm thinking next year I might offer some bounties for runs it's unlikely I will be motivated to complete myself.
