i just made an experimental run of this game in 1:32. The fight scenes arent fully optimized (i could save a few frames). before tyring to optimize this, i wanted to see if there was any interest in this game and whether there is any chance of a movie of this game getting published. i have a .fcs file of it but i do not know how to post it without submitting a movie. can anyone help?

Any particular reason you took the far power point before the top one? I don't think you need more than the one fight to win.

if i take the far power point 1st then he will attack (the computer attacks whenever you take all 3 middle powerpoints. He also will frequently summon elemental or freeze the unicorn that i teleported. There is no way to avoid 2 fights. I will experminet with it. it might be quicker to fight at the far powerpoint rather than to try to fight the dragon which takes 4 hits. The reason I chose that the 1st time is that the unicorn has the fastest shots and the quickest recovery.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/330846341/Original%20of%20Archon%20%28U%29.fcm Hm. Shoulda checked if someone had already tried a run of this first. My run is roughly 6 seconds faster than Adelikat AFTER you take into account the fact that he didn't know you could hurry through that cool opening animation. My battles barely total 1 second of that, entirely due to the Dragon having one of the slowest recharge rates in the game. I tested Adelikat's technique (not TASed, though) as the dark side and it's easily faster, the basilisks attack stronger and the djinn is weaker in health, so two less attacks are needed. I don't think that's enough to make up for the other 5 seconds, though. The REAL question is whether a run of this game is publishable. I'm in no hurry to clutter the workbench with a potentially unentertaining run. (I have another run I JUST made, Base Wars, that probably won't be entertaining despite being only 2:30 long). It's not right to assume it's entertaining simply because the game means something to ME from my youth, since this is a community deal and most all y'all don't played da gemz.

Wow. Yeah, I didn't know you could skip that animation, that makes the game a lot more playable (in a non TAS sense as well) for me. This .fcm posted here isn't my optimized version but that one was lost :( I finished in 1:29 by optimizing the battles. Playing as black is a good idea, I didn't think of that actually. Well, I really didn't put much thought into the game because there was no interest in the game. I am not so sure it is a very publishable game either, hence why I didn't submit my movie back then.
