Okay... what exactly causes them? In Gens, anyway. Completely screwed up my first run of SoR2. I think that it's Messenger Plus that does it, cos it pays absolutely NO attention to my status and goes and pops up stupid little alert windows when I'm on Gens, and makes it slow down. But still, that shouldn't really have anything to do with it. More importantly, can anything be done to fix them?

Okay, read them... As for the second one, I can't see why it should be to do with the sound, but I've got exactly what was recommended by Jyzero except that DAC is on and PSG is off. By the way, I've noticed that Gens movie 9c does the following at random (and normal Gens does not): * Freeze my computer (ie, I have to reboot) right after I load a ROM, load a savestate or play a movie * Freeze my computer while playing or recording * Freeze just itself (ie, I can use End Process to get rid of it) while playing or recording and garble up the sound. If it's playing a movie it'll carry on playing at really high speed, which can be heard from the sound, but the video is frozen. Maybe the same bug that causes those three is causing the desycns?

Okay... I just re-did the bit after the desync, and played it. It desynced again, at EXACTLY THE SAME POINT: a little way into Stage 2. Is Gens not properly emulating SoR2, or what??

Are you using 6 button controller mode?

Yes, does that have anything to do with it?

Yes, that makes it much more prone to desync. Use the 3 button mode.

Okay, but any idea why it causes them?
