towards the end of TASing the game... Blaze: "Yeah, that's gonna be really hard to win this. There's so many things that requires so much work to optimise, and I'm fairly certain that everyone found the [pit] warp." Mittenz: "Nah, there's got to be at least one team that didn't find the warp." Live reactions from 8bit and I when we got announced that we won: https://clips.twitch.tv/HyperBlueFishCoolStoryBro

Lol, Cyorter actually found out about the pit warp, too, but it seemed like there was no way to get 70 coins in a timely manner. I guess we never checked what values the treasure boxes actually gave >.< Congrats. Especially on finding the other route choices

If the other teams want to post their lua scripts, ram watches, or notes here it may be useful in eeking out more frames. We already learned about some possible timesave from different RNG manipulation from team Magic Staff.

Wow, I feel so ashamed ._. Congratulations to the winning team for the awesome TAS.
my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: ThunderAxe31#1512 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"

If people want to see a comparison before someone makes a proper comparison encode, this site is good to do that. Warning, don't have the sound of the 4 videos playing at the same time, it gets loud. https://viewsync.net/watch?v=5O2O9a4lHyc&t=0&v=Neo_cFE3Pf8&t=0&v=NMTurE3aU4s&t=0&v=QUhiqjNZo8w&t=0&mode=solo

Thanks Dacicus! Nice comparison. It looks like it varies a lot who's faster in which room, so maybe it's possible to make an improved movie with contributions from all teams.

Keep in mind team 2 skipped through a lot of stages in order to get faster, as a result, thy have a lower sword power than the other teams. Meaning bosses will take longer to kill for example

If someone wants the raw data that I used for encoding to try to figure out which team is fastest in each room/level, I can provide it. It's AviSynth syntax but not too difficult to understand. Just wondering: Did anyone find a more convenient way to analyze PCE assembly code than a combination of trace logger in BizHawk and debugging functions in Mednafen?
