• Game objectives
  • Emulator used: BizHawk 2.6.1
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Heavy glitch abuse
  • Uses death to save time
  • Takes damage to save time

This TAS is 525 frames faster than the current publication = 8.75 seconds
The main improvement comes from better optimization, changing some strategies and reducing lag
I think this time, lag optimization is perfect (226lag improved)The workload of this improvement is basically improving lag...Highly optimized lag is a very painful thing (*+﹏+*)~And painful random values
I remember when I was young, I liked playing this game on TV very much. Until today, I finished its TAS production
This game has a lot of glitches and randomness. Of course, there are a lot of lag
I checked the description of "adelikat" and he taught me so many crazy skills
Now this video has been well optimized and runs more smoothly. Now please enjoy it..........

Small details:
Every time the tortoise lands, it will pause for 2 frames. If the tortoise jumps immediately after landing, it will pause for 4 frames, so please avoid such operation and try to reduce the number of landings
When the tortoise jumps into the air, releasing the direction key can avoid reducing a small part of lag (generally ranging from 1-5 lag)
When entering some holes, it will be faster to enter from different directions
There is a small undetected fault, which is determined by randomness and can only be determined by luck.(for example,53181frame)
At a certain time, the tortoise's attack range is greater
Floating Weapon Glitch..The attack of (6631,30156) frames can make its attack range wider
The head hits the wall to land faster, which is also applicable in water.
In the third stage of the underground waterway room, you can control the number of enemies killed to change the enemy type in the next room (which saves me a lot of time)
Using the weapon when the tortoise just landed on the ground can make the horizontal position of the weapon lower (e.g. 34358 frames)
When the tortoise lands on the ground or at the edge of the platform, it pauses for 2 frames
The tortoise landed vertically at the edge of the platform faster than walking(for example42602...This applies in some places)
The obvious improvements are:
Level 3 sewer, boss Control the type of enemy by controlling the number of enemies killed Eat other pizza in the sewer, reduce the tortoise's health and better fight the boss (reduce the number of attacks on the boss)
Level 4,Cave 15 Better optimization, reduced lag
Other improvements come from better optimization of small details

feos: Judging... I'll get to Dark Tales after this one!
feos: Great job as always! Fixed ROM hashsum in the movie, also accepting over [4074] NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by mamuuuut, lapogne36 & adelikat in 15:44.93.

I'm not sure what I was supposed to do, but I changed the LogKey in Input Log to get this to play. Link to video

Easy yes vote. I think you are amazing for improving popular and hard runs like batman, ghost n goblins and now teenage mutant ninja turtles. I really look forward to your future runs.

Wow...glitchy! Optimized and massive lag reduction? I personally try to deal with Lag in all my TASes...not an easy task. All this is a recipe for a Yes vote!
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX

What was wrong with it? (Mostly asking so that other people that potentially want to TAS this game don't make the same mistake DreamYao did...)

Yes, standard runs are needed and very appreciated here too

I don't know where it came from originally, but it was the same wrong hashsum as in the previous publication. No ROM matches it. EDIT: Actually it's from https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5954/
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
