Introduction

Another oldie but goodie from the Amiga/DOS collection. This one is an extremely hard game to master, with a diversity of weapons, movements, attacks and parries. Although the game offers many modes where you can train your 4 weapons, the point is to participate in, and win, the Budokan tournament. The tournament consists of 12 battles of somewhat increasing difficulty.
The CPU is horribly treacherous and won't hesitate to react based on input reads, even before your character has even moved. Some characters use very deadly weapons (to which you have no access) that wouldn't be kosher in any legal combat competition.
In this movie I try to beat the opponents as fast as possible while not getting hit even once. It is very possible to beat this game faster is you go all out and get hit, but I thought that wouldn't look nice. This movie showcases a perfect domination of the opponents using as many movements as possible.
Enjoy!

ROMs

I wasn't able to find an uncracked version of the game, so I picked one of the available ADF files and tried to skip the crack screen as fast as possible.

I realise that my high expectations for Amiga tas era were too optimistic considering how slow many of the games are. I thought Moonstone was slow, but then I saw this. Tas for snails. Maybe add a warning for extreme slowness to the publication. The same voice actor did all the sound effects. Nice voice acting at 8:40.

Please talk about that part of the goal, it sounds like something on top of just "no damage"?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

For strict speed, it is possible that selecting one martial art over the others could result in faster fights. Furthermore, some techniques are faster or stronger than others. However, in this movie I mostly tried to prioritize entertainment over strict speed. That is, tried to select a different art in each fight and, inside each fight, keep a healthy balance between the different techniques.

That vaguely sounds like a playaround.
