Progress has been slow, but MMF lap 1 is officially done. Which means, the experimenting/route for the rest of the course is done, which means (in theory, not in practice) that the next two laps should go by faster. I'm at a very iffy time in college right now; I missed a lot of classes and have to work my ass off to get a decent GPA for next year. I'm late for room selection for housing and class selection next year, and finals are coming up. But by May 18th, my vacation starts, with no summer camp to work at until late June. And then, post camp hours I won't have to babysit for my sister, which is more hours. Add to that I'll be driving on my own so that I can leave camp on time, get home and maximize all my free time to TAS, and then when I start college next year I'll be much better at organizing my time and be way more productive in TASing/schoolwork, and things are looking pretty good for the future. The last few months have not been kind to me... I've been lazy, frustrated, and low on energy, and school is about to end, which adds to stress; all of these are bad TASing environments. But once the creative energy is given room to stretch out its legs, watch out!

I've been trying to reproduce the mushroom-cancel glitch on the cars in Toad's Turnpike and have not been able to do so. Does it not work on them, or am I using the mushroom at the wrong time?

It might be because you are always hitting the car for multiple frames. Try to clip a corner and see if you can cancel that with a mushroom. I haven't tested it, it might be handled differently.

Being attached to a huge sign post, everything the "slow" sign would have to do is fall to the ground in the right direction. And it will reach the goal first! I'm also betting on it. Though if there are multiple laps, I'm betting on the turtle. >_>

Am trying to remedy that. Summer Camp has started, so 10ish hours of my day are now being used constructively. (counter-constructive to movie making. But you gotta know your priorities.) MMF has not moved a single subpixel. Biggest update: For those that haven't heard yet, a new mupen may be made that can solve desynching and possibly add record reset functions, which would thereby let me skip 3 trophy receiving cinematics (like the SMK movie.) I would very much like for the run to be made on a mupen with record reset, since that can help me save 3 minutes. The problem? Compatibility; it'd use a new movie file format, and a converter might not work, meaning all progress I have so far would need to be redone. So 'dat's the scoop. It'll take as long as it takes, which will likely be a very long while. Also, MMF will be the last public WIP; how you handle that wait is up to you. As I said above, I'm waiting to see if some form of mupen can be made/posted that has record reset, which may also delay the run further.

Ah ok. The phrase "how do you plan to invest your time" seemed like a stab at how I manage projects. So let's see.... MMF should most certainly be done by the end of the summer if not sooner.... and the whole run will be done probably late next year most likely, possibly early 2009. It is so hard to tell, especially since I also have to get this GBA run done, as well as OoT, Sonic 3D Blast, improve my DKC2 102%, get the full Maxim run done (unlikely though), and find time to complete the StarFox 64 High Score run as well (way far in the future though). I'm not working on all 6 at the same time btw, only one or two of the above currently. Edit: record reset worked with a beta version of mupen, so things look good for having that feature in the movie.
