Normally I would be entertained, but having watched many Isai combo vids I think this isn't much different, just on single player.

Malva never made a combo video, he only does combo singles. Some person just took his combos and made a movie. Besides, I know Malva... I doubt he could do a run like that, its just too hard to play on very hard without getting hit... but I know what you mean. I almost beat won one of his FFA, but then the game lagged out.

Blasphemy! Anyway, the missed hits on the dairs look sloppy. I think they're still getting killed a little too fast... Maybe knock them off, let them fall to where they couldn't recover, then u-air them back to the stage, and make it back yourself?

that's not a combo. don't let the opponent hit the ground for one thing. that makes it escapable.

I think Fox is overused. Kirby was insane on the original SSB64, Pikachu was a freaking combo king, and Samus had some great chains when it was done right. I'd say go with someone other than Fox, personally, but it's all you. It'd be funny to see someone actually pull off the Kirby swallow kamikaze and survive, too. :P

It only is escapable if the CPU escapes it. :) I know the difference, and your right, most of them aren't true combos..., the one on fox's level is though.

Super Smash Brothers - Optimized Entertainment Run Loading => Hitting Start at the earliest possible frame for each menu/sub-menu. Selecting => Move Cursor on earliest frame at 100 force to select character at earliest point on earliest frame. Followed by selecting one stock by hitting 'A' every other frame until one stock is selected, keeping cursor at closest point to difficulty select, at that point (first frame possible) move to difficulty and select Very Hard by hitting 'A' every other frame, and then followed by an earliest start... Waiting => Earliest Frame Press 'Start'. (More to come)

Meh, I got bored and made this. It's basically a movie (Although not that great, it's my first try TASing SSB) showing all the characters and levels in battles with three level nine computers. I'm not sure whether it aims for time, entertainment, both, or neither, so you might want tp decide that while you watch.

Here is a WIP of the start of an optimized run... The menu screen is fully optimized, and I am wanting some feedback on the game play. My purpose/goal is entertainment while achieving the following: Speed Demon, Very Hard Clear, No Damage Clear, No Miss Clear M64: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1918244397/okaygo%27s%20optimized%20link.m64 AVI: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-H8bmbJ2H6o

well, though the second route is faster, I was more entertained by the first. It's a difficult call, because the fastest run of this game would not be as entertaining as something meant to show off and stuff, but of course, how can that objectively be obsoleted. I say go with whatever route you want because at the end of the day, people will still enjoy watching it, but I doubt it would get published unless you tried to get the fastest possible time for the character as whom you're playing.

If you're going to optimise most of the menus, you might as well choose not to use autofire for this small part. Just wanted to point out that your menus will only be suboptimal if you do that, and it's better to point it out early than later on when it'd be dumb to change it.

Why hasn't this game had a submitted run yet? There's been like 5 or so runs, plus plenty of practices on multiplayer, so why havent any of them been accepted?

Just read up on the submissions and it'll be clear.

There have been plenty of submitted runs. No runs have been accepted because the game is inherently unentertaining for a TAS.
I'm sciencing as fast as I can ! ______________________________________ <adelikat> once more balls enter the picture, everything gets a lot more entertraining <adelikat> mmmmm yummy penises

I'd not say inherently... more like most of the submissions are incredibly bad quality of playing that makes babies cry, one good run was canceled and redone, which was rejected more because of a fight between the author and a judge than for anything else, and mine was rejected after a huge debate, which was really close. There are only really two good submissions that have a chance I suppose, if antd finally submits his 1p which is faster than nico's and makes more interesting/entertaining choices on some levels, and like Zurreco/Baxter have requested one that does BtT/BtP modes. Until then, it's cursed because of poor submissions.

I don't think antd cares about doing it for TASVideos. He is more of a smashboards TASer.
