In other words, Finalfighter has broken every damn Mega Man game into pieces (expect for Mega Man 6).
well yea, i meant everyone here has found glitches that save seconds : /
I doubt that. Also, take for instance the game Krion Conquest. Finalfighter has found ways to get inside walls and stuff (much similar to Mega Man). How many players/users here have done that before on another game? Getting inside walls, zipping through areas, I can go on and on.

Well I couldn't! I think Nitsuja deserves to wear a gold star badge for being good at Mister Gimmick.

What's the difference in finding a few glitches and finding a lot of glitches can you define a line between "nobody ever thought of that" and "nobody could do that" when talking about glitches?
I think this is an excellent point. Who's to say which glitches take more skill to uncover? Not to take anything away from FinalFighter, as he definitely has "broken every damn Mega Man game into pieces", but that's where all his efforts have been concentrated. To a huge fan of the Mega Man series, this is indeed a big deal. To others who aren't, it could seem like other contributors, glitch-finders, etc. are not recognized in the same way. All I can say is that just about every time I have a WIP in the forums, Nitsuja has had excellent constructive criticism, and I think there are many others here who can say the same. He studies the way games work and has contributed positively to this site in numerous ways. However, it seems that because it's not Mega Man, it's not as applaudable. That's ridiculous.

Well at least that's not vague. :\ I always thought that a ninja could be defined as a top contributor of the quality of the site, regardless of how they do so. Thus, Nitsuja is a ninja to me. Thanks for contributing!

Maybe we should retire the term "Master Ninja" in favor of "Gold Star Sheriff" or "Super Pirate". You could walk around town going all, "I have a gold star and you don't! Arr!"

Well, I know he's shown me a thing or two with a few hours spent on it in a game that I had been working on for months (DK). Nitsuja is extremely good at making movies, easily in the 90th percentile at this site (or would be if there were an accurate metric to determine this.) Does this mean he should be a ninja? If it were put up to a vote, I would say, "Yes, indeed he is ninja material. Or at least a supraplayer." However, it's not up to me, and perhaps my idea of what a ninja at this site is and Bisqwit's are not the same. If that is so, that is a shame. But I'm not going to beat myself up over it. It's just a title. No one cares. If he gets it great, if not meh.

That's how I think about it too. The only people I know well enough/have seen enough stuff from to consider ninjas are JXQ and FODA (look at that, upper case nicks get you more attention!), but I'm sure others, like nitsuja or Bisqwit, would qualify too.

Yeah, JXQ and FODA are Ninja material too, but Bisqwit is already a Ninja.

I think the prestige of the rank Ninja will start to fade if many more people are granted the title. I think Nitsuja should get at least some recognition of his work other than the undying gratitude of everyone on this forum, but I'm not so sure about JXQ or FODA.

Is there a 'hack' ranking? I'd aim for that one if there was.

Personally I don't think I'm "ninja" material (and according to that goofy dance of a definition, I'm definitely not). But as OmnipotentEntity said, "It's just a title." In the end it doesn't mean a whole lot, and I can still do just as much to add to the site regardless of what it says right above my avatar. I still like doing what I do here.

You damn pinko commie. I'll say this, if there is anyone at all who should be awarded ninja rank, I think it's nitsuja. If not him then no one else either. At the moment at least.

Just for making all the SNES, N64, GBA (I don't have the list ... but those are the ones that come to my mind right now) emulators do what they do today, Nitsuja deserves the Ninja status. Without his improvements to Snes9x, we wouldn't have that many great TASes around here. Without his improvements to the N64 emulator, well ... we wouldn't have N64 runs at all. I consider THAT, ninja material.
