If he did, surely I would ridicule him. Besides, not all the levels have videos on TSC, and of those that do, few are optimal. He's got a fair job ahead of him just matching the best console times, but once he figures out the pertinent strategies he should be able to thrash most of them.

Actually, as far as I can tell, none of your comments are clearly tongue-in-cheek; they're mostly just mean. I didn't mean to imply that you claimed that you were the greatest Sonic the Hedgehog player in the world, I was just reading your earlier posts (and others'), and apparently you're pretty damn good. It sounds like you think that gives you the right to be a dick, and to harass JXQ about his own Sonic the Hedgehog playing, when it shouldn't. I haven't been around here (on the forums) all that long, but I would guess that this "curse" of never finishing this run comes from the rabid antagonism emanating in this topic. I wouldn't want to finish the run either if I was being assaulted by others because of a damn video game.

I just wanted to update everyone on how the run is going. I'm currently at the boss of Labyrinth 3. I won't be posting any more WIPs because I am enjoying making the run much more since I decided not to. You can check my progress in my signature, I'll try to update it whenever I progress through the run. And, not to jinx myself, but I should be finished with the run before Christmas. *Dodges curse*

I think he only has 6-7 stages left if Im not mistaken so Im fine with not viewing any wips as he is pretty close ending the game.

This ridicule is what stopped me from enjoying working on this project, so I'm avoiding it altogether by not posting my progress. And Angerfist, there are 6 stages left...plus the Final Zone, but that can pretty much be ignored in how long it takes to do this run.

I will say that I've gained an average of 72 frames per level against those which have a WIP to measure against since I stopped posting my own.
