I was thinking of doing a Pokemon Ruby battle tower run. The absolute fastest way would be to use a Pinsir and just guillotine. Since you get your pokemon healed after every battle Pinsir would be the fastest. But I'm headed for a 100 battle entertaiment run. What in your opinion would be the most entertaining pokemon and moves to see in BT? Thanks.

I dont remember what's atatck name, when you endure three hits and then attack back depending on damage. Being damaged down to 1 hp before attack would look nice I think... But still this would be boring run, I think... I never liked battles in Pokemon games...

If you're just basically going to use the same pokemon and the same attack over and over and over again for 100 battles, then it would be REALLY boring. Sorry.

You could try using METRONOME. And if you use weird pokémon, like Shedinja, it would be great.

Don't be sorry. Thanks for your input. BT is entertaining for me but I wasn't sure for the viewers. My original idea was to do a Saphire run but I'm not sure how all the game mechanics work yet.

Doesn't sapphire have the same mechanics as ruby? And, no offence meant, but I think pokemon TASes are a bit boring. When someone sees a TAS they should think "Wow, he's really good!", but when you see a pokemon TAS you just think "Wow, he's so lucky!" and it isn't really as interesting.

Metronome would be (with out a doubt) the best move for a TAS like this. It would be the most entertaining one, and you could still use that Guillotine of yours few times for a faster time. ;)
Which run should I encode next? :)

You definitely have my vote for a Metronome-only Battle Tower run. I'd suggest the additional restriction that you can't Metronome the same move twice. Bonus points for metronoming things like Def.Curl/Rollout, SunnyBeam, etc., and brilliant use of very situational moves like Skill Swap, Protecting against an Explosion, and so on. Basically, make the whole thing look as implausible as possible, and focus more on entertainment than OHKOing everything.

I'd love to see a metronome only BT run, the way NMcCoy says sounds like it'd be pretty interesting
