Rushing Beat Syura. I pulled off Flynn's "super saiyan" trick about five times... resorting to save-statery twice, I think. R+QCF+X. It's hard to pull off in a pinch, and I kept thinking it was X+QCF+A which, if anything, will perform the 2-stock special attack. Argh. I think I'll try again with the Ozymandias path, and maybe Orbot. And no taking damage on purpose so I can do the stupid trick. Maybe I can get the other ending, too...

After long time I decided to give NES' classic Super Mario Bros 3 a go. It went surprisingly good although being so rusty in this game. I managed to pass all levels without dying, except of this damn Bowser fight, which went very unlucky the first time. >:-/ But all in all the movie is pretty good and shows many good old tricks in different levels to ease the playthrough during them when playing skill based. Enjoy!

Here's me playing Donkey Kong Country 2 any% up until Bramble Scramble, at which point I gave up. It's segmented, using savestates at the beginning of each level so that i don't die, in between levels no savestates. this should be a funny little comparison between my 102% TAS and my actual playing.

Well here's another Dragon View movie I made (different from the last so you gotta watch from start)... Thought it'd be fitting to do the games I've TASed. http://ohnolookoutitsaraygun.com/el%20vientooo.zip El Viento played to the end (used Gens 9z). Went for the high score, as it's almost completely necessary in order to be able to get the through the last level (your life meter increases as your score increases). I got tripped up in the conveyor belt level and died. Had to use one of 3 continues. http://ohnolookoutitsaraygun.com/wl4play.zip First 5 stages of Wario Land 4. I attempted to get the CD and gold crowns in all the stages, and failed to do so in two of them. Completing the entire game normally, while trying to achieve these goals, would take around 7 or 8 hours, so I had to stop early. I play 8 Remix stages in a row and get High Level rankings in all of them. Not exactly a "just play it" video as I DID restart the recording when I got a "Mediocre" rating. Ok, I think I should share this one from my archives: After some Super Street Fighter 2 playing sessions I got a good rhythm in the fingers and decided to record another Super Battlle mode on max difficulty (8 Stars) using one of my favourites - Ryu! The movie went excellent and I managed to pass all 12 fights without losing even one! SSF2 - Hard Ryu PWNAGE!! Shows excellent techniques to use with Ryu (in realtime conditions) to win every fight pretty solid and without much problems. A must see for SSF2 fans!

Hmmm, not sure, because I'm not that good with her... But I might try anyways today evening since I have to go to work now. EDIT: Alright, just did the first attempt, and it worked pretty well. Only lost 2 fights but overall all special techniques and combos of Cammy worked out pretty well the way I wanted them. This attempt had both Ryu and Ken as CPU opponents, which IMO are one of the hardest overall. SSF2 - Cammy Not as good as the Ryu one but still worth a check to see a example how to play with Cammy. PS: She also has one of the best endings IMO.

Rockman 1 beaten with only the P weapon (except the use of G, E, and M to remove blocks or climb walls). This actually started out as a no-damage attempt, and after Fireman's level (the one I usually start with anyway), it actually looked sorta-kinda-halfway-remotely possible. ...Yeah, that didn't last long. XD The Wily levels was where it really started to become unglued. I became an unfortunate victim of the Infamous Foot Holder Glitch (if you don't know what this is, you very likely will when you see it, because it's funny as hell =P), causing the first death, which threw me off. Nice! It was interesting that you had trouble with Deejay- he's a tough nut to crack using Cammy, it seems. Thanks for the video. :)

No problem. Yes, Dee Jay is one of those fighters who often cleverly waits for his opponents to do the first attack, and then to counter them back. The best way to fight him is to attack him yourself and not let him play his waiting-games, since as a CPU he has much advantage in it.

I played Tetris Attack against myself, at 12% speed. I couldn't really get the hang of watching both screens, so my attention kinda ping-pongs back and forth. I owned myself good. I started round two using frame advance. I wish I'd continued, just to see how fast I could fill player 2's screen with garbage.

I haven't played Zelda 2 since I was a kid, and only started playing it again recently while bored in the office (at work), using a java nes emulator (NESCafe) so I didn't have to download anything. After I make a sandwich, I'm going to record myself playing it from the start. WARNING: I do not know where I'm going after the first palace! Let's see how long I can tolerate recording myself and dying while wandering around... edit: Recorded myself... fooled around a few times and at the end wanted to test something out. Well, I found out "it worked" but uhm... I didn't want to have to go through the first palace again after that. And is it just me, or does the hit detection suck balls in this game? I don't know which rom I used, it's simply called Zelda2.nes. Ninja Gaiden 1 for NES has always been one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. Those f*ckin orange flying ninjas throwing stars and those damn birds screw me up ten billion times! I was about to break my controller after dying for the thousandth time on stage 6-2. Oh, and I did another one of my patented "lets see what happens if I do this after I kill the boss..." so I was given the pleasure of re-doing the stage somewhere around the 4th or 5th stage. A couple times you probably will notice I got really pissed off after dying and played "on tilt" (poker term for making stupid plays due to frustration and impatience). I'd love to see someone else try a run through of this game! SOOOO FRUSTRATINGGGG!!! Time to show some more stuff from my unassisted smv-archive: SSF2 - flawless Guile!!! Once again I managed to pass ALL 12 fights dominantly and clearly without a single loss! Guile (who also is one of my favourites) is the only fighter who has almost no cooldown after his shots (sonic booms), and this allows him to pull off some crazy hard-hit killer combos no other fighter is capable of. This combos got well executed plently of times in this run, and in rare cases allowed me to turn some apparently lost fights and still win them! A perfect Guile run, and a must see for SSF2 fans, or those who want to learn new tricks with Guile! Enjoy!

That was pretty damned cool. Especially the Ken fight. I was wondering, would it be faster to start the "Break it!" stages with a Sonic Boom?

Thanks! There are also some other really well coming out fights, like the Chun Li one with the Flash Kick combo that saved me from a loss in first round for example. Ryu, Feilong or Sagat went also pretty successful IMO. About the "Break it" stages, a good idea, but I don't think it would save time. Sonic Boom does not as much damage like a hard hit there, and thus I still would have to hit the first part of the car/bricks with the same amount of hits to break them. Maybe using weaker but faster hits with the Sonic Boom combo would be a promising variation, but as far as I know, hard hits were always faster in this stages, even despite the slower animation scene.
