Watching this right now, and I will comment on things as I see it regardless of the fact that the submission text isn't ready. I won't mention something if I don't have questions on it or I don't think others have questions on it. Stage 1: For the uninformed viewer, keeping speed is nowhere near as easy in this game as in The Magical Quest. Might want to look into that slight lag in the first part. Is there some sort of jump trick going on here? I recall both bosses taking WAY more hits. Stage 2: Well, at least there's SOME way of maintaining speed. It does look like there's a slight slowdown from each landing and jump, but I will assume this is natural. Again for the uninformed viewer, the turtle mini-boss is, for all intents and purposes, unmanipulatable. Run probably needs a 'uses death as shortcut' label too. Why all the rampant alternation in the area with the toxic gas? Stage 3 You sure this is the best possible scenario with the portrait of Pete? Looks like different luck could help you. Unless this battle is unmanipulatable, in which case.... No comments on Stage 4 regardless. Stage 5 You sure using the Cowboy Suit for a longer time in the last area before the boss wouldn't speed things up? In a TAS I imagine getting the timing right for the needed switch isn't too hard. Stage 6 If it's manipulatable, I'm going to argue with the luck on this portrait boss too. It does seem a little better though. That's all I have. I'm very hesitant about giving this a 'yes' vote as of yet. Will wait for responses to these questions before voting.

I don't know the game very well. It looked like it was played pretty well, though I wondered about a couple small parts. What was a bummer for me was the boss fights. I didn't like most of your stylistic choices, as they usually were either "1p and 2p do the same thing", or "1p is the inverse of 2p". I'll wait for your comments before voting, though. At this point, it seems like a meh, but that's more for entertainment than optimization. Edit: So there was a reason for staying together during boss battles. Alrighty, I can give this a yes vote. I do believe the battles could still be made a bit more entertaining, especially ones where the hits have a lot of wait time between them.

I think that it looked very well played, at least from a casual viewer's point of view. There was enough exciting sections to avoid getting bored, well played. Gonna vote yes.

I think it's your sound that can't be playing maybe, I have the same problem with my laptop, I can't play emulator sound, only direct sound. The sound effects are lamer but it's better then nothing so you can watch or record own movies. I really liked this movie! I myself working to improve the current Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse that Nitsuja has the record of right now. More then half the game is completed and it looks good so far ;) I wote Yes!

Having watched the run I'm voting "meh" for several reasons. Firstly this whole symentrical and inverse movements were used to the point of annoyance, I honestly think large portions of the run were done by using the team key function. The boss battles themselves weren't interesting and bosses have overly long invunerabilty periods, with exception to one boss battle all of them would take the same amount of time for 1p to do it. There was also nothing noteworthy that ever happening during the run that would make at least something rememberable about it. The reason for not voting no is becuase I the game is colourful and the levels look varied.

Quite the contrary my friend. The turtle is the only boss that can be done alone and take the same amount of damage and time.

I was quite entertained by this movie, a definate improvement over the first few levels I had viewed a couple of weeks ago. Definite yes vote.

I was rather suprised that I never heard of this game before. Though it's obviously directed at children, the run is entertaining. Voting yes. @JXQ: Well in this game, you have the same "problem" that you have in every 2 player game mode that is run by a single person: it never looks quite like it was actually done by 2 players (another example of this is Contra 3)

Nice movie, I vote yes (though a rather late yes vote :P) One possible optimization though: It seems you can summon player 2 at anytime and there is a lot of lag in the first stage. Perhaps you should wait until the boss fight to bring player 2 in. I didn't notice anywhere that player 2 was saving time until then, and it would reduce much of that lag.
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

I agree with this point, a 2p run should try to make the players as independent as possible, although this is generally very hard for a game of this nature. The SoR3 WIP's are probally the best example of what I'm trying to say. This is why all the symetry stuff annoyed me, although I fully agree it is essential that should be used at various points of any given run since its nearly impossible to do in real time, but overuse can cause a movie to look like 1 person controlling 2 players, much like the the superplay where the Japanese guy controlled two ships at once in an arcade vertical shooter. Sadly I can't find the video at the moment.
