Why not? Because they suck and I hate them! That's why not! :D Georgexi: I hate to be one of those "referral" guys who can't answer a simple question, but you'd be better off asking about FBA here. It's the official FBA forum.

I think the mame team is more interested in getting accuracy than features. But on the other hand, there are so many people involved in developing the emulator that i wonder if one of them wouldn't like to see TAS of arcade games...

That would be great. :D MK2 works fine in Mame, among alot of other titles which also would be awesome to see.

I have found a Modified version of FBA which supports all latest games (All Metal Slugs/All King of Fighters & so) But It's in Spanish or French & not support re-recording, also some bugs when loading roms. Can someone add latest games support to FBA? http://rapidshare.de/files/16313303/fba.rar.html This is full game support emulator.

It doesn't look like the Evo team has released their sourcecode. At least, I couldn't find it anywhere. It would be hard to do anything without it.

Yeah, that's the old version. I can't even get it to compile without downloading old versions of mingw and nasm and all that. I don't think it's worth the trouble when we can just modify mame, which already supports practically everything, and is open source.

FBA got everything too.. Mame requires to work from beginning while FBA is rerecord supported, just need to add latest games supports. Probably like, copying pasting New game codes from Neofighters version or whatever...

Okay, I'm about to get seriously serious with this here emu and attempt to do something CRAZY! But first I kinda need an understanding of how frame advance works. When the game is paused, do you have to hit all of the buttons that you want pressed for that frame, hold them ALL down and then hit F1? Or can you just push a button once and then F1?
I am just a silhouette, a silhouette of a memory of a solitary night .. nothing more.

In all other emulators I've used, it is necessary to hold down all buttons you want for a frame and press the frame advance key, unless the emulator supports auto-hold. I don't know about Final Burn Alpha. F1 is frame advance? Of all the keys they picked, they chose one in the far corner. Somebody remap the buttons.

I honestly don't mind the whole F1 thing. But auto-hold would be soooooooo nice for what I'm going to attempt. You ever try to hold down 8 buttons at once adn THEN press F1? I tried looking around FBA a bit, but couldn't find something....anyone got advice?

This is the FiNaL BuRn EvOLuTioN 3.02 made By SNK Neofighters Team http://www.snk-neofighters.com/midias/downloads/emuladores/fbevo.zip Supports Complete CPS1/CPS2/NEOGEO Games (Start to End, New & Old) Guaranteed working (250 MB * 19 Parts of complete Roms sets) I wish if Coders do copy Games List from FiNaL BuRn EvOLuTioN 3.02 & Apply to Blip's version. FiNaL BuRn EvOLuTioN 3.02 is full of Bugs, So it won't be a good idea to work over it.

another good version of FBA is Final Burn Alpha Plus, if i'm not mistaken it supports more games than FBE and has available source code: http://fbap.1emulation.com/

This emu is awesome. I like the Street Fighter Alpha 3 TAS's that come with it. Dan FTW. It would help if we could re-map all the buttons, frame advance, re-record, savestate etc... I then will be able to do some TAS's with it :D The buttons just aren't good enough for me to use right now. Good luck with this.

It doesn't matter what I do, I can't get this stupid ass thing to replay movies correctly. It ALWAYS starts out paused whether I uncheck read-only or not (and it doesn't matter what I do with the pathetically few options FBA has), then after that there's no input at all. I'm about to give up on the whole thing. Edit: Now it works, but it desychs. In fact, every recording I make desynchs, tool-assisted or not. Hooray.

Hello?....if anyone out there in TAS land is listening....I would like to make a *small* request for this emu. Auto-Hold, input display and frame display. I recently have been toying with the new Gens and *love* the TAS tools that I just mentioned.

Desynchs for the two games I've tried (Final Fight and Cadillacs & Dinosaurs). Maybe it's because some fighting games don't like being TASed...

Excellent work and please keep this updated. I've started using it and will be completing a run shortly. I have a couple of features I would to see implemented however: Re-map the re-recording controls. On record, have an option to record from reset. Display emulation speed if changed when paused. Turn on frame counter when paused. Thanks!
I think.....therefore I am not Barry Burton
