Submission Text Full Submission Page
I thought it was high time someone tried to run the Flash:
1) His special power IS speed running 2) The game has a countdown timer.
This is a very rough run and I do hope someone will beat this. I have not decided whether running up to the goons and killing them or jumping over them is better, because you have to stop running to avoid doing the long jump. I apply both methods throughout. Also, I think long jumping over all the stationary, gun-toting goons is very possible but I only discovered that about halfway through the game. This jump is not possible during the train stages as it seems the height of the long jump is different. There may also be ways to reach the main bombs faster. Finally, I have not worked out the optimal money pickup. Ideally, I would like minimal food recharge ending with zero meter before the train stage. This will mean that I must avoid some of the money.

adelikat: With the rom listed in the submission and vba 19.4, I was unable to get the movie to sync. What emulator version did you use?

adelikat: Rejecting. No one has gotten the movie to sync and the author has not responded.

1. in the beginning you auto-fired 'Start'. That is sloppy! 2. It desynchs although I'm using the correct ROM (Flash, The [U] [!]) Considering that you mention some parts in your submission text like "This is a very rough run and I do hope someone will beat this." "I have not decided whether running up to the goons and killing them or jumping over them is better" sounds very sloppy, too. Voting no. Try to use more rerecords and compare routes instead of saying "I didnt know which route was faster..."

Yeah, it's desynchronising for me as well with a ROM matching the checksum. What emulator did you use to record this run?

It desynced for me using v19.3 & v20 (although it did go to frame 15000 on v20)

Mugg the vote is "Did you enjoy watching this movie?" and from what I can see, you didn't watch the whole thing.
My published movies [03:45:05] <Naohiro19> Soulrivers: ... [03:45:19] <Soulrivers> ? [03:46:35] <Naohiro19> <Soulrivers> No! <Naohiro19> So? <Soulrivers> Yes! [03:46:48] <Naohiro19> joke

Ironically, the poll asks "did you enjoy watching this movie", not "did you enjoy watching the whole thing".

The point of my post was that he had voted no on half a run (I don't know where the desync occours, so I'm just using this), as he could by no means watch the other half. What if the second half would had made him change his mind? I don't think a no vote is justified here.

Interesting! My point is that he clearly states that he was sloppy with the run. (It could have been done faster!) If he didn't have done so I wouldn't have voted no. The poll actually leads to the decision if the movie should be published or not. Should a rough sloppy run published? mhh...

It is your opinion that matters here. If YOU enjoyed watching the movie. He says it's sloppy, when it in fact maybe isn't? Don't trust text, trust your eyes.

Its is clear that in the past that people have voted on runs without watching them in great length or skipping over vast sections of the movie.

If the beginning of a movie is sloppy then most likely the whole thing will be sloppy.
