Hmm... EVERYONE was talking about this movie lately... There was even a pirate copy floating around before the official release (it's not in most movie theaters yet). It will surely be at the Oscar 2008 as well.
I watched it last night and I have no other word to describe it: KICKASS!
Like someone described, it's like a brazilian version of "The Shield".
One of best action movies this year, if not the best.

I can only concur with this gentleman. Nascimento, Neto, Matias and the whole B.O.P.E. squad is a group of badasses. Most reviewers agree with the directors view of point how corrupt policemen are in Rio. But there are lots of other sideplots in this movie. Everyone should really check it out. Keep especially an eye on Nascimento. Because in my opinion, he is one of the meanest characters I've ever seen on the screen.
