About the Glitch

To do this glitch, you need to die and during the fade-out to Game Over's screen, you need obtain an Extra Life. The best way to earn the Extra Life during the fade-out is using the Bomb after to die and destroy the enemies to do necessary Score.
You can earn an Extra Life with 20000 points, 80000 points, 140000 points, 200000 points...
The memory address for your actual Score are:
7E1FA0 - Player 1

Stage's Comments

Stage 1

When I die for the third time, I active the Bomb and getting 10.000 points with each Dogs in this stage. I only need 20000 points to earn an Extra Life.

Stage 2

At this stage, the Glitch doesn't work, then, I need the minimum Score 79290 points and the max 79999 at the end (the Boss when defeat using the Laser weapon, give me 10000 points and the bonus, more 10000). If I walk on the mines, I get 500 points in each, then, I abuses from this.
Note: ...it's calculate for the 4th Stage.

Stage 3

With the right score, this stage is very easy.

Stage 4

The Scooter-Robots are very hard to destroy with any weapon (except the Crash-Bomb), then, I manipulate an Crash-Bomb as a item at the stage's begin. I've started the stage with 90969 points, each Scooter-Robots gives me 7035 points, the next Extra Life comes with 140000 points, therefore, I 'only' need 49031 points.
7 * 7035 = 49245. =O
Note: Scooter-Robots are not defeated only by the power of Bomb in Hard Mode.

Stage 5

I've started this Stage with 150184 points, the next Extra Life will come with 200000 points. As in the 2nd Stage, each Power-Holder if destroyed without any enemy leaving from within, gives me 2000 points, the Boss when defeated with the Laser gives me 10000 points and the Bonus, more 10000 points, therefore, more 30000 points in this Stage again. But the only weapon that I have are the Crash-Bomb, and if used in the Power-Holders in the wrong moment, I earn a LOT points.
The Boss when defeated with Crash-Bomb, will also give me a LOT points, then, to get rid of that, I manipulate a Laser weapon in the last Power-Holder.

Final Stage

I've started the last Stage with 196673 points, however, without Bomb yet. The own Stage gives me soon this Bomb in his beginning, then, I catch her, then, I activate and I got killed by the Alien.

Thanks to:

Thanks for redoing it Dark Cloud. I already liked the previous version and this one looks even better. I sure enjoyed watching it, but am the wrong one to judge it technical wise (though looks optimised to me). I still think it should not obsolete the currently published run, but open a third (thanks Sir VG ^^) category. Good job

I liked the previous version of this run, too, but the overhead stages definitely seem better this time. The glitch is still awesome, particularly for the fact that if you use it in the last stage, even the ending and credits are skipped! Heh. I give this one a Yes vote, and I agree that it should not obsolete the current run, but rather be published separately as a "glitched" run.

I think there's something seriously wrong with this movie. Snes9x keeps crashing only moments after I start to play it. I used v1.43+ v9 and matched the settings in the submission, so why does the emulator crash when I play the movie?

Um... a little help here please? I still haven't figured out why Snes9x keeps crashing.

No idea. For instance, mine never did when watching this TAS.

Try turning off Sync Samples with Sound CPU, that should probably fix it.

I didn't notice this improved version until today. I've watched it and I don't see errors like in your previous version. Nice run!
