I would have liked to arrange a meeting with you, considering that you were the only user at TASVideos who has "Austria" as their location; but you were not available at IRC for talking. Sorry. (If there are others, they obviously don't want me, or anyone else, to know about it; otherwise they would have filled in properly the location in their profile.) And yeah, I'm home now. I think I'll be posting a photograph gallery some day. I took plenty.

Oh no, that's not what I meant. o_o You said "just wanted to get an .at IP / domain into the posting history". But there are already .at IPs in the posting history because of me. I guess you meant your personal posting history though, lol.

Of course I meant my own posting history. Sorry for being vague :)

Cool, did you enjoy Vienna's artistic features, or just business?

But did you know the German language or you simply talked in English? (Just curiosity :P )

Regrettably the furthest I have been is France. Just call me Mr. Outgoing...scan. Just out of interest, for what reason did you go to Vienna?
<adelikat> I am annoyed at my irc statements ending up in forums & sigs

For the most part I just enjoyed being somewhere different than home. I enjoyed pretty much everything; the weather, the sights, the people, the cafeterias, etc. Even the flights were fascinating. I do not know the German language aside from some isolated expressions and words, so I used English. I did however get the impression that you get better service if you speak German, somewhat like in France is for French. As for the reason, it was our company's this year idea for a winter/spring recreation action. Previous years have included going to Tallinn, riding Icelandic horses, and snowmobile driving at the ices of the lake of Päijänne. It was done as a surprise trip: Up to half a week until the leave, we were only informed that we will need the passport and that the travel destination is some 2000 km away. Up to last day before the leave, we weren't told where exactly we're going.

I know this is a horrifically dumb question, but how exactly was the weather (at least, compared to Finland)? Also, what sights particularly stood out for you? I may be going sometime this year, so I'm quite interested.

Compared to Finland, it was really warm, as you can see here (from Schottentor): We still have snow here in southern Finland. Apparently, those temperatures of +14..+16 °C weren't exactly normal for Wien at this time of year, either. As for sights, I of course enjoyed the mountain views at Semmering. We don't get much of that in Finland: More photos coming up later.

Does Austria have a statue or museum dedicated to their most famous and deceased pop star Falco? I'm sure he's still rockin' Amadeus from beyond the grave....

I was in Austria 2 years ago, and I agree with the keyboard point. Is unrealistically red-dyed hair still a fashion trend there?

Falco? Doesn't ring a bell. Didn't notice, or didn't care. Red-dyed hair? Didn't notice it in any striking proportion. I did notice some unrealistically dyed hairs (forgot which color), but none in any striking proportion to make a note about.

White was always popular. (Obscure Viennese Classical movie reference that no one will get) By the way, how long were you there for? A full week?

I once knew a guy with white hair who was a complete jerk. He was only alive because murder is illegal in my country. That's probably why natural white-haired people are so rare.
