For some reason I am getting random Google text ads in Spanish on both the home page and on forum topic pages. I am not living in a Spanish country. Is there any reason for this?

You are getting them on the main page? Sweet. Those aren't showing for me. (I just reinstated google ads today, they aren't appearing on all the pages they should. And they are spanish for everyone, I don't yet know what is up with that. If anyone has experience with google adsense, I would love some feedback on this issue.

I get an ad in Swedish, about a dating site, along with the Spanish ads. No ads in English, though.

I too got a Spanish ad on the boards. Something about the color red.

Yeah I'm getting some latin language too.... "wanna know the temperature of the sun? on google you'll find the answer!" "wanna know who invented paper? on google you'll find the answer!" never seen anything english/dutch there thought I got this because my PC's been abroad :P

Yeah, my computer is showing me the ads too. But I see no harm to that for some reason, it's just there.

I don't get any Google ads, because my antivirus has an integrated adblocker! Ads don't have a chance against my antivirus! BWA HA HA HA! I use Kaspersky, for your information.

Yeah, and I use Adblock, but I've turned it off for TASVideos (and a handful of other sites). It's not like Google Ads are particularly intrusive.

You should write Google and ask, "¿Por qué los anuncios de Google en español?" I used Google translator on "Why are the Google ads in Spanish?" This looks silly since the site's text is in English for the most part.

I got some in spanish too, one of the asks if I want to know the depth of the "ocean", and the other one asks me if I want to know about dinosaurs.

Only if you search for that! This seems to be something to advertise what google can do, as if nobody knew it. The only really strange thing is that it's in spanish.

Well, Ferret Warlord did see another ad in Spanish about the color red. Edit: And now I see an ad involving the color blue.

OK, so I disabled my antivirus's adblocker, and I get ads... in Spanish either! Weird thing is, I usually get ads in French, German, English or (rarely) Dutch, due to me living in Luxembourg! Since I know some Spanish, the first one says "Why is the sky blue?". The other one says "Do you know when dinosaurs appeared?". When I clicked on the one with the dinosaurs (which, by the way, does not involve colouring them), I get to a Search Results page... in Spanish and only showing the results of pages which are written in Spanish!

I got some in english, but most of the time it's spanish. I know that you can configure a couple of thing on google adsense, but I never used it.

Ok, so the ads on the main pages are in English, but they are way too distracting. Not only do they have a different background, but they destroy the symmetry of the pages (no margin on the left but there is a margin on the right). Also, they make these (and many other) submissions off center: http://tasvideos.org/2425S.html http://tasvideos.org/200S.html Probably due to the submissions not having long lines of text that need to wrap around the page.
