The run is based on making big bombs and blowing them up. Some chain-reactions are used in several stages. I started from the stage 3 because I thought I could do nothing special on the stage 1 and 2.
Special Thanks
TokushiN and Miezarumono, for TASing Bombliss and uploading the movies on Nico Videos. Their videos inspired me to make the run of Bombliss.
Baxter: A well executed TAS, but the game lacks enough variety to keep things interesting for over 9 minutes. The recent publication of Tetris Blast might also have taken some of the novelty from this TAS. Rejecting this submission due to poor viewer feedback.

This run started pretty cool and then got a little repetitive, but some stages were occasionally awesome. I think stage 26, for instance, was cool, since after some initial setup, you blew up the entire board with one big combo.
It seems strange to start from Stage 3... that seems to be a pretty arbitrary starting point. Which stages could you start from normally at the beginning of the game?
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically.
Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.)
Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html)
Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature!
Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
I could start from stage 1, 2, and 3. As you mentioned, this run got a little repetitive. I decided to start from stage 3 not to get it repetitive as much as possible.
Mmm...I found this to be rather dull, since most of the levels consisted of "Make a 2x2 in the middle, blow it up, repeat until screen is cleared". Given the way the game scales explosion size, I think a run that tried to clear every level with only one combo would be much more interesting...assuming it is possible.
Voting meh. Run is well-executed but not interesting to watch, barring a few levels.
Thanks for the encode, sgrunt!

I'm sorry but this was absolutely boring. I got as far as level 12 before I couldn't stand to watch anymore. If there was more variety to the levels.. more things to accomplish... SOMETHING.. then it'd be more interesting. There was the odd moment where you had to admit brilliance.. but outside of that brief moment... absolutely boring.
Sorry.. this'd be a No vote. :(

Twin Galaxies Senior Referee ... omg roflcopter... you know you should remove that from your signature if you ever want somebody to take you seriously, ps: im jking
Mr. arukAdo
Edit: well i watched, while technicaly the movie seem allright and good executed, the game choice is poor i think, just way too much looking like original tetris, im not super fan of puzzles anyway and its far from blowing my mind, ill trow in meh

Dude that game looks like a terrible choice. If this gets published, I request a Sokoban TAS next.

"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself.
It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the
kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional
functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success."

The run isn't something I'd want to watch again and again, but I did find it entertaining enough to vote yes. Liked watching those chains of explosions.
As a puzzle fan, I'm happy to see that someone gave Super Tetirs 2 + Bombliss some loving.
I loved the strategies used here. Quite solid movie.
yes vote

I loved the run! I have the same pleased comments as OmegaWatcher.
However, starting on stage 3 doesn't make sense to me unless it's the latest stage you can start on. If that was the case, then I would consider it a speed-running strat, but if not, it seems really arbitrary as a starting point.
I'm holding my vote until I know whether or not stage 3 is the latest possible stage to start on.
Some levels seem repetitive (boring), but some are nice -- especially level 6.
Not as entertaining as I've expected.
However, I do want to thank Ryuto for creating the TAS.
A soft yes vote.
PS. I request someone do a sokoban TAS. :-)
(just want to see how fast it can be done.)
so, it's rejected or not?
and.. well, I don't really think the "viewer feedback" was that bad at all. Ony one "no" vote against 12 "yes" and 6 "meh" is not a bad reception.
That applies also to this thead comments

The run was rejected, yes. Baxter posted his reasoning at the bottom of the run description.
The votes are just guidelines for the judges; they're free to ignore them as they see fit. Anyway, the comments carry far more weight, and most of the comments were not overwhelmingly positive.

Here is a short summary what people posted (literal quotes) about this TAS in post order:
1) Starting cool, but got a little repetitive
2) <author of the TAS> "As you mentioned, this run got a little repetitive"
3) Rather similar to Tetris Blast run
4) Rather dull
5) Absolutely boring
6) Poor game choice
7) Game looks like terrible choice
8) The run isn't something I'd want to watch again and again
9) Too long to really make for a good TAS
10) I loved the strategies used here. Quite solid movie.
11) I loved the run!
12) Not as entertaining as I've expected.
Out of 12 posts, 2 people really loved it, and 10 people agreed that it was repetitive. You might argue that I particularly picked the negative parts, but nevertheless all of these posts contained something negative, and quite a few used phrases like "soft yes" etc.
With the current votes, if all yes votes said they really loved the TAS and provided some reasons, and the meh votes didn't actively post then the TAS might have been accepted... but this viewer feedback was rather negative, especially compared to other TASes.
