Hi, I'm new on this forum, because I made a Zelda Link to the Past TAS (glitched) record... But I got some problems: 1. I recorded on CamTasia, because the Fraps was not recording ZSNES 2. The video need credits right? 3. How I convert to a ZSNES video file? 4. CamTasia didn't record Music and Sound... There is a huge problem... 5. The video is pretty lag, but there are a frame count if need it... (camtasia sucks X.X) Thanks, gabrielwoj

If you want to make your own video for youtube, don't even consider using camtasia or anything like that. Use the video dumper built into ZSNES. There should be a "dump" button somewhere in the movie menus/dialogs, IIRC. Alternately, if you think you've improved the published TAS of ALTTP, post your input file (I forget the extension of ZSNES input files— .ZMV?) in the Zelda: A Link to the Past thread so that the experts can spot any improvements.

Only use the built in converter. See here for more details: http://board.zsnes.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11977

I don't have Windows 7, so I can't say for sure what's going on there, in the mean time, I'll have someone else test on Windows 7. Describe what exactly you did, and what messages appeared. Also see this: http://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/gui.htm#misc_movie http://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/advanced.htm#movie_dumping

I know, however you don't really need it. Just don't check the box which says "compress audio".

That depends what you want to do. Stopping at the end of the movie means that the AVI will contain the entire length of the ZMV. If you want the movie to be longer than the ZMV, for example if you stopped the movie when you pressed everything you needed to for the game ending to run, but it does not include the ending itself, then either figure out how many frames extra it needs, and put in a frame number, or just dump until stop, and press stop when you see it dumped everything you wanted.

Ok, ZMV and AVI contains the "THE END" But the Minutes start from the intro? Or only when I start the file? For upload on my youtube...

The frame count is from the very beginning of the movie. If you want to upload YouTube, you only need to include what you want to include. If you want to submit the movie here, we only want the ZMV file. We'll make the AVI (or MKV) ourselves.

If you managed to beat A Link to the Past in 3 minutes and 10 seconds, would you also like to submit the ZMV here? That would be a new record. A very unexpected record.

That means you didn't start the game from power on + sram clear. Where exactly did you start from?

So is this are the correct time... Oh... Thanks man, I was freezing here, was really hard to make this TAS... I can upload on my youtube? Or you gonna upload on TASVIDEOS youtube profile? EDIT: how I open a ZMV? for others videos on this site...

For a TAS, the timing ends after the final input in the game. For ALttP, that is when the Triforce text ends. Your run does this in five minutes blank. I suggest that you actually watch my TAS first and then try to improve it, using SNES9X instead of ZSNES. http://tasvideos.org/1210M.html
