Salary Man Champ is a Japanese game made by Konami. This fun filled minigame fest is a journey through the life of a salary man, as he strives to be the pinnacle of Japanese society and climbs the corporate staircase.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: PCSX-RR v0.1.2
  • Aims for fastest time

Comments

I don't understand this game, but I've been told that it's really funny for Japanese people. What is funny for the rest of us is that there is an emulator bug where the game stops receiving input for several seconds. See if you can find this bug!

Reasons why this TAS should be accepted

  • Japanese people may find it very funny.
  • There is no N64 version of this game.
  • It's very optimized.

Reasons why it could be unacceptable

  • There is a very ugly emulation bug.
  • There might be a more entertaining setting if someone knows Japanese.
That's all. Thanks to FatRatKnight for making some nice "Author's comments" for his submission of The Guardian Legend.

adelikat: We usually prefer a high % of yes votes to be considered a strong viewer response so this was kind of borderline. Having said that, the response was good enough, and a number of people seem to be enthusiastic about this TAS (for whatever reason). I'll accept it.
sgrunt: Encode on the way (thanks to some modifications of alternative capture software which turn out to work well).
Spikestuff: Sync Note: For those figuring out the bios it's SCPH1001.

Fixed. Edit: Actually, there was "Hacked game or otherwise inpure movie: yes" in the movie properties although the associated checkbox was unchecked.

In the webnations encode (trying to find the rom in my house (I actually own this game) so I can say which frame exactly in an edit) the same part as the screenshot is shown, how about changing it to 9:14. I'll describe it if youtube changes the exact point. Player 1 and 2 stay the same as the screenshot but what's different is that player 3 looks like he is about to piss himself (or something else (or constipated)) and the guy you are copying looks like he's about to take a dump on player 2 (Note I'm suggesting this as a screenshot change because it looks funny that's the only reason). Edit: Frame 33296 Edit2: (Image shown) I forgot not many people have this game -_-

I agree.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

I'm going to question it here rather than making a thread in psx. I'm started tassing this game already for 2 player and it came to my attention that pcsx-rr is faster than psxjin when loading occurs. As the roll of pcsx-rr is lower than psxjin do I continue on using the slower emulator (only occurs in the intro) or do I use the "non preferred emulator"?

Don't make your emulator decisions based on load time speeds. The gameplay is what matters
It's hard to look this good. My TAS projects

Thanks adelikat, I will continue on doing what I'm doing right now with this game. ;)
