I think the Apple vs Adobe debate is overblown. Apple usually has their way with muscling around the big guys like Cisco does in the router space. Either way Apple does make great user-friendly products (in comparison with their competition), and that's what the masses will buy.
I'm more interested in the APPLE/ARM(Marvell-based) vs Intel
CPU wars. Arm has basically eaten Intel's lunch in the CE space for the past few quarters, and that space is by far the fastest growing. It's like MediaTek in the BB/MMP space, if Apple can bundle everything they can reduce their BOM cost for their CPUs with an in-house solution, Intel will never compete. Intel will probably threaten to pull out of the Macbook/iMAC product, but I don't think they have the balls to do so. If Apple does really grab a significant portion of Arm, I think we will have another price war. But Arm's real strength is in the IP area, which really doesn't fit well in Apple's product line.
