Im up for this challenge if there is any interest in this? This is the "ninja" version I have so it should be NTSC (USA) version of the game. What you think? And any suggestions/bugs etc that can be used? It was a couple of years since I played this game. I only know about 2 "bugs". First there is a great randomness in the game, enter a room and there´s hard enemies, reenter and there is a possibility it is easier enemies. Second is that you can jump higher then it looks like. No big thinks but I will use em if possible.

What do u mean by the ninja version? Is this the game ur planning a run of? http://www.emulazone.com/ScreenShots/Nes/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles/index.html If so I'm very interested in seeing a run! =D I myself never had the patiens to play it through, way too hard for me... =( While lookin for screens I came across this site with some tricks for TMNT. Hope it can help. =) http://www.world-of-video-games.com/nes/codes/teenage_mutan_ninja_turtl.shtml

That´s the game. Will try to finish it now. I have just completed Addams Family, the game with most randomness ever seen! (Hope Bisqwit puts it up ;P) Save/load and you will have a completely different pattern of the enemies. Well that was off topic. I'll see what I can do with Turtles. In Europe they changed the name to Teenage Mutant _HERO_ Turtles since Ninja sounded to violent. That´s why I said this is the ninja version = NTSC version of the game.

Friday the 13th at first it doesn't seem so but I think it's more randomness than Addams Family.Just try it and you'll change you're mind ;)

I was thinking, this time attack could actually feature a death, which may save time. For example, in area 3, where you must get missles to blow away the road blocks. You gotta get those in some house, if you die after picking them up will send you back outside again (I think, I'm not 100% sure, it was like 10 years since I played this game). The swimming level before area 3 is a perfect place to injure (and save time too, if you swim through the electric beams or whatever it is) some useless turtle and then switch to him and die quickly in area 3. It might save time, but if time attacks should feature deaths or not has always been a hot subject.

Great idea Tarzan... It´s just my ordinary f**** luck. I have now made a movie to stage 5. Were to fight the Technodrome. Guess what happens! The ROM crashes when I enter the boss-room. =( Hours wasted again... If it´s not possible to still re-record with a working other ROM?

Possibly. You can always test. I have also experienced the same problem you described, but on a different emulator, so it's probably the ROM.

So uhm. Where can I find a possible working ROM for this task? Have tried to search the net, not that much, but with no results.. Really wanna finish this movie for some reason. I thinks it looks cool already. Was so close to the end! Hours wasted if I cant finish it.. =/

I dont think its a big deal if theres a death in a timeattack, I want to see the game finished in the fastest time possible and if u need to die or recieve damage in order to do that then go ahead. Also I like bugs and glitches. Basically anything that helps save time I think should be implemented. Although the run wouldnt appear perfect which I understand is the concept of a timeattack. Me personally, I prefer speed over perfection.

There is no death. The only thing is that I lost 2 life bars in "The Dam" since timing was gay and I didn´t wanna spend another 10 seconds waiting for an electric wave to disappear.
this means no one can do a run of Turtles?
I quote myself to get things right.. If im right that is.. Well since I have tried 4 versions of TMNT now. Including 1 version of TMHT and no one let´s me in the boss room with the technodrome. Is there a possibilty that _ALL_(?) ROMS are corrupted? I had this problem a couple of years ago with TMNT3. When playing in any emulator it got stuck at level 2 or something (The Boat) and no matter how many different ROMS I tried I couldn´t get past that section.. So is TMNT1 a doomed project? =(
