Since the game uses many different addresses for the X and Y position of the player, I've decided to write a quick lua script that automatically tracks the addresses and shows them on screen. With some tweaks, the same code could be used for other games that feature the same problem.
Don't use it during the title screen, otherwise the script will crash.

Fixed a bug that sometimes made the speed value slightly incorrect.
Also, the script now distinguishes between maximum jumping speed and maximum falling speed.

First, you need to spawn a money drop. Then, without picking it or making it going out screen, you destroy and keep hitting brick blocks. At some point you will get pietrified. Congratulations, you just hardlocked the game!

  • Player money
  • Player experience points
  • Experience points left for next attack level
  • Current attack level
  • Player HP
  • Enemy HP
  • Drops content
  • Hitboxes of everything except D1 boss and final boss body
Also note that the watches will disappear while the pause menu is open!

2 frames saved in Stage 16 thanks to door frame rule... I guess? All I've done was delaying the stair descending by 1 frame, then the boss skip resulted 2 frames faster.

Pasted the latest s14, s15, and s16 by FatRatKnight.
The only differences are the amusing s14 boss door break and the removing of the Ammo Tank usage at beginning of s15.

Refined test based on the first draft by FatRatKnight... Though it got 14 frames slower than the current main WIP. There is small room for improvement btw...
Edit: After some quick tests, I've noted that the first hit to the miniboss 6 would be dealt 6 frames later in the best case possible, making it unable to save any frame.

Based on FatRatKnight's ExternalRadar script.
It's a light script that enlarges screen in order to show, outside of game screen:
  • spawning borders
  • enemy spawns
  • hitboxes
  • enemy HP and invincibility time
Useful for fighting enemies when they are still outside of screen, and thus also managing Minibosses and Bosses skips.
