  • 1 framerule saved in 5-2, by accelerating instead of being pushed through the ground during the FFPG
  • A few frames saved in 1-2, which allows for more room to add entertainment without losing a framerule
  • 1 framerule can possibly (less likely) be saved in 3-3 with bullet firing manipulation to avoid having to exit underground
  • 1 framerule can possibly (more likely) be saved in 5-1 with bullet firing manipulation to avoid the flag loading (saves 9 frames) combined with a new lift strategy (found by HappyLee)

This is a 6-frame improvement over my previous userfile, which can be found here. The improvement came in 5-4, where I had overlooked a faster way to accelerate after the walljump.

Imagine if you could do a flagpole glitch at walking speed. Then combine it with the fastest possible walkathon of the game's version. And that's what I've done. I present to you a sidestroller with flagpole glitches, but sadly no bullet bill glitches or pipe clips as they aren't possible on the official Europe version of Super Mario Bros.
